Users are having trouble understanding the time zone they are booking in. My WP settings are set to Tokyo time, but users are not recognizing this when scheduling and confusing the displayed scheduled times for their own time zone. Please advise.
You have the option in Amelia/settings/general settings "Show booking slots in client time zone" this way clients will see the time slots in their time zone so there will be no confusion.
Yes. I've gone ahead a activated that setting. My concern though is actually the visual that the user is seeing, as I cannot see that myself, and clearly they were not seeing that the times were in my local Japan time.
Is there anybody obvious labeling that tells the user that the times they are viewing are in their local timezone?
We can see what you mean. Currently, we don't have any built-in option for you to place any kind of an indicator / labeling on the page, to let the customer know that the time-zone will be converted for the time zone on their device.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

At this time, you will have to add something / some kind of an indicator, or text somewhere on the WordPress page to indicate that they will see their local Time Zone times for booking,
until we create something for that.
Of course, let us know if you have any further questions or feedback regarding this.
Last point to confirm. The users are seeing their local time and scheduling their local time. But this will be reflected on the employee schedule here in Japan as Japan local time, yes? In other words if John in New York (EST) schedules Mon. August 1, 9am - then David in Tokyo will see Mon. Aug. 1, 10pm on the dashboard?
You are correct.It will be exactly like that : "if John in New York (EST) schedules Mon. August 1, 9am - then David in Tokyo will see Mon. Aug. 1, 10pm on the dashboard"
I just want to make sure that i understood what you meant, when you say dashboard;
basically in the front-end Employee panel - if the employee has chosen Tokyo Time-Zone, then yes; the employee will see the time converted to Mon. Aug. 1, 10pm.
-
Important to note, at the back-end of WordPress; Amelia will always show the WordPress time zone for everyone - regardless of their chosen Time Zone; ( so, it will show everything converted to what is set in the WP general settings)
and as we pointed out; the customers will see their converted time on front-end;
The same goes for employees - they will see the time converted to their chosen time-zone, from the employee panel.
-
I hope i explained it correctly. Let me know if that makes sense, and if you have any questions, of course.

Hope this helps.
