I've just tested an appointment completed as an employee via the employee portal from customer details already in the database.
I was able to book an appointment perfectly but at no time was I asked for a deposit payment as happens when a customer will book through the front end.
I assume the same thing would happen when a customer books another appointment through their portal, no deposit will be taken.
It also concerns us that when an employee is in their portal and clicks on the add appointment tab that all of our customers names show up and their email addresses are visible. I've brought this to your attention previously but still don't know how to stop this from happening. We don't want our employees / contractors to have access to these details.
Can this tab be removed so that employees can't rebook a customer until we sort out how to work a better option?
I've added a screenshot of the dropdown tab that shows customer details.
A customer from the customer panel can only reschedule or cancel an appointment. An employee from the employee panel can book an appointment with an existing customer, but there is no option for a deposit in the employee panel because the payment is made by the customer, not the employee.
As for mail address, unfortunately, currently, this feature is not built-in in Amelia. It is part of Amelia's design and there is no option to disable it. You can make a feature suggestion on this page.
But features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.

Hello Tania,
Thank you for reaching out to us.

Thanks Marko,
I've disabled the employees ability to book a job from their portal, that is the only way I think I can stop them from having these details.
Hello Tania,
We're not sure that you can't prevent them from seeing the email address anyway, but if you can, that's great.
We wish you all the best.
Kind Regards,
Marko Davidovic [email protected]
