This has been an issue for the past several versions (maybe longer). In my select field types an extra blank option (value "") is always present. Even if I do not have "Add an empty value to the list" checked.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
Yes, i noticed this myself as well, to be honest with you - but it was a bit intermittent, so i thought i must have been doing "something wrong" to cause it.
For example, now if i test on one of my dummy tables; if i set , in the column Data tab : Number of possible values to load as "all" , the issue happens - i can see that blank selection on selectbox appear.
;
But if i set any other Number of possible values, such as "100", or anything else other than "all" - now i can not see the blank selection on the selectbox :
I will certainly escalate this with our 2nd level Team - they will help me do further testing, and to advise us further on the matter.
Thank you for pointing this out, and for your patience.
Sorry for the delayed response, in the meantime, we did a lot of testing.
I can confirm that our developers have flagged this now, officially as a bug.
Thank you very much for pointing it out for us.
The developers will do their best to make a fix as soon as possible.
I hope they will implement a fix in one of the upcoming updates, but i can't guarantee an exact ETA.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
If they notify me that they made a fix in between updates, i will make sure to send it to you.
