We don't have an option to limit how many months are presented on the calendar, 

so technically speaking a customer can try to "go ahead" for multiple months;

but you can limit the time in which they can see available time slots;

If you limit how many days in advance they can book, on this setting, in Amelia General settings;

Then on the booking page, let's say if i set it on my Test site now, this is what my customer can see,

since today is the 8th of July, they will only see 60 days ahead, and anything past that will be unavailable to book.

So they can technically change the months ahead as much as they like - but there will be no available time slots.
