We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
When adding a new Employee we want to use a current website user but they do not show up in the "WordPress User" field (none of the users do). How do we do connect them?
Hello Craig,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
You have two options to assign this role to your employee:
You can read more about roles and user on the following link https://wpamelia.com/users-and-roles/.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,

Hmmm... doesn't sound like you understood my question/issue... I'm sorry I was not more clear.
Yes, I understand those are my options and I want to do the second one (choose a WordPress user that's already been created). There are three users setup (all Admins if that matters) but none of them show up as an option to choose. They just don't show up in the select list. "Create New" is the only option showing up.
I'll attach screenshots.
Wanting to know how to troubleshoot this. Thanks so much for your help!
Hello Craig,
Yes, that information is very important to us, thank you for that.
The wp user can only connect to a user who has an "Amelia employee" role, and it will ignor admins, customers and so on, you need to create a WordPress user with an Amelia Employee role and then connect it to the employee you are creating on the Amelia / Employees page.
You cannot connect the admin with these roles and please make sure that you do not mix roles, such as WP user to be Admin and employee ... This will cause an unresolved conflict and Amelia will not be able to function properly.
You can read more about roles in Amelia on the following link https://wpamelia.com/users-and-roles/
Hope this explains it.
Kind Regards,
