    Hi,

I was under the impression that bookings could be managed through the google calendar integration however I understand now that this is just to show all scheduled booking and to sync with personal calendars.

I am setting up Amelia for the first time for a customer with a barber salon. Is the only way to manage bookings (reschedule, move around, change, cancel etc.) only possible through the WP backend? Meaning I have to set up and show the WP backend to the salon owner.

The salon owner manages the bookings of all the employees - not the employees themselves - so I suppose the employee panel also does not provide a complete overview of all the employees but only on an individual plan.

    Hi, IC Concept

Thanks for reaching out to us

    1.

That is correct. Sync with the Calendar can only create busy slots in Amelia, if you make Calendar Events directly in the Calendar > but they don't  get created in Amelia as appointments.

    -

The other direction, if the appointments come from Amelia > Then they get created and are showing in the Calendar.

I did not make the best explanation there, sorry about that, but you are correct about this.

    2.

    That is also correct.

    You can check in details what permissions can be allowed for each Amelia role on this page;

i will point out the "short version", for most important details.

Basically, only the Administrator has all permissions, the only one who can delete bookings.

Manager has almost the same permissions, but he can not delete things.

    -

Employee, from the front-end employee panel can reschedule, approve, cancel appointments ;   if you allow it, employees can edit working hours,

and if you allow, they can assign themselves to services;  and they can create Events.

But employees can only see their own bookings/schedule;  they can't see for others, yes.

    -

So, you are correct, if you want to have the entire overwiev of everyone's bookings;  it can only be done from back-end.

If you don't wish to allow for a user to edit plugins, and WordPress settings, you can assign them as Amelia Manager.

Or if you wish them to have all permissions, in order to delete appointments, employees, customers, etc;  they would have to be Administrator.

    I hope that helps.

Let me know how all that seems, and if you have any questions. Thanks

    Kind Regards,
