However it doesn't work for me and on this ticket in March - https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com//ticket/3005279/# - you confirmed that this feature is not possible in Amelia.
Could you confirm whether it was possible in the past to do this and why you have removed this feature. It's really important that I'm able to include custom fields on my google calendar.
Sorry about so much waiting time , i made sure to test everything fully before confirming.
I am sorry to disappoint, but after testing i can confirm that when customer presses "Add to Calendar",
it is not possible to customize what goes to Calendar in that way.
In this method, Amelia currently passes the Service Name, Date and Time of appointment, and Service Description.

The only place where we can customize the details, is the ICS file.
If you enable sending ICS files in the notification; When customer downloads and manually adds it to any calendar - then you can customize and add any custom fields or any email placeholders you need.
You can copy them from the "notifications" section.
Here is my test example, i made a text field for a customer service;
Then i filled it out; and it will not be passed to the "Add to Calendar" method;
Google Calendar only shows Service name, description and date and time
But if i go to email notification, and manually take the ICS file;
then i get all the email placeholders i set in the Amelia settings > Notifications > set ICS File Description:
-
So at this time, it is as i shown. Let me know if my presentation or explanation was not clear, and i can explain further.
Regarding the possibility to add custom fields to "Add to Calendar" method; it is currently not possible.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
I've researched this issue and I can see conflicting information. It seems it used to be possible to include custom fields in the event description.
This is pointed out here - https://wordpress.org/support/topic/send-appt-info-to-google-calendar/
It also refers to this method in the docs - https://wpamelia.com/configuring-google-calendar/#Event-Description

Hey, Will
Sorry about the waiting time.
I will test this out for you to be sure, and also will ask senior colleagues -
then i will report back as soon as possible with definite confirmation if it's possible - and if not, was it possible before.
Thank you for all your patience on this, once again my apology for the wait.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Thanks Miloš. Not quite what I had hoped for but I think I can work with it.
Hi, Will
Yes, it is not ideal for the goal as we need it at the moment;
but i hope our developers might improve this soon.
If you can be so kind, add a suggestion as a built-in feature on the suggestions page;
and i will also pass the details to our devs, we will see how it goes
