I have installed the Amelia plug-in on the website of my customer but whatever I and the hosting try, it does not send the notification e-mails after booking. We have tried the WP mails and the SMTP but both don't work.
What am I doing wrong or how can this be fixed? Website has to go live monday and this is a real problem.
The appointments made on the frontend do not send e-mails to my client and her customers and my client. Approving and denying on back-end works fine. My customer does not want to login every time, so the settings for the set to appointments approved direcly. But still no mails are sent.
I have set the website live today, but the problem still exists. It's urgent to get this solved because now I have to check in the meantime if there are any bookings for my customer.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
An issue with email notifications could be caused by several reasons:
Your website has a PHP version of less than 7.
The credentials are not correct.
There's something else blocking the notifications from being sent.
Please check again with your hosting provider if it is blocking all 3rd party settings and only allowing their SMTP (or other) settings.
If you're using Gmail, please check out this article for detailed setup instructions.
Please check these points, and let me know if you were able to resolve the issue. If you're still not able to resolve the issue, we'll need to remote into your website, and see what's going on.
In the meantime I had already mailcontact with support and the login credentials for the website where sent to you by mail yesterday evening.
1. PhP is 8.1 2. Credentials are correct. 3. Blockings where checked and a mail logger plugin installed. 4. Hosting has already checked everything twice and settings are correct. 5. No Gmail. Customer is using an info mailadress.
Booking system only sends mails when they are aproved, denied or cancelled on the backend. As you might have noticed when you placed a booking, you did'nt receive a mail of your booking, neither did my customer that you made a booking.
Unfortunately, I did not receive your mail with credentials, that can happen. For that reason, we always ask that credentials be sent to us here.
Can you please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I got a mail from Aleksander from [email protected] that it is a bug in the new plug-in software.
It has been flagged as a bug by our QA testers.
Our developers are now on the case, and they will do their best to create a fix as soon as possible.
There's no exact ETA, unfortunately, but we are hoping they might resolve it by the time the next update comes out.
We will follow it closely, and If they finish it sooner, we will make sure to send you the fix here as soon as it is finished.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates.
Do you need the credentials as well? I can send the to you to if you want.
Yes, that would be wonderful, we need credentials because we need to check as many use-cases as possible to reduce the possibility of a similar error appearing after the fix.
