    The app's default sorting of a date field filter with month names is alphabetically. Is there a way to override this behavior?

    Hi, Samuel

    Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

    -

    We already covered this topic on ticket https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ticket/3049121/

    For future reference, please don't open multiple tickets with the same topic, as it wastes your and our time trying to either find a response twice (if, for example, my colleague responded on another ticket already) or inform you that the ticket has been submitted more than once.

    We go through tickets in the order in which they are received and/or responded to, so creating multiple tickets will only increase our queue, it will not speed anything up. We try to be as fast as possible, so thank you for your patience.

    If you have any questions or concerns about another topic, please feel free to open a new ticket, and we'll gladly help you out.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    As we explained on the said ticket, If you use powerful filtering add on's Cascading filtering, at this time we are not able to override it, but our developers are doing their best to find a solution to add a setting where users will be able to select what the default sorting would be.  At this time it can only be alphabetical.

    I can't say an exact ETA on it, but they are doing their best for it to be as soon as possible.

    -

    For the filters that don't have Cascade Filtering enabled, we can only manually reorder the filter selection values,

    in the Data tab of the column settings.

    At this time we have these limitations, due to the underlying libraries that the plugin is based on.

    Let us know if you have further questions. Thank you

    Kind Regards,

    Miloš Jovanović

    That was private. This ticket is public. If I have to start posting to WP and other forums to get you to fix what shouldn't be broken, so be it.

    You're making excuses for poor development skills and horrible user experience design.

    This is happening regardless of cascade filtering or not, it's also happening when manually set (after the initial load it reverts to alphabetical).

    FYI, I'll keep opening tickets until you fix it because it's a BUG and defies common sense and logic!

    Just STOP making stupid excuses and fix it.

    Hi, Samuel

    Sorry for the delay.

    -

    For sorting in multi-selectbox, selectbox, or checkbox filters;

    for the time being, this is the logic of the plugin, and it can only be changed by editing the code of the plugin's core, which would be a custom solution.

    We currently don't have any hooks available in order to do this at this time;

    but our developers will do their best to create a hook for this purpose.

    -

    We plan to implement an option to select/change default sorting of the filter values;

    to have the same options as now, but with added selection to change filtering logic from the source;

    but we can't say an exact ETA when the developers will finish implementing this feature.

    -

    Please feel free to search on our suggestions page

     to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there,  and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

    You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

    and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

    -

    We truly value all of the feedback and suggestion from our users to improve our plugin, and we do our best to implement it as quickly as possible.

    During development, there are a lot of variable unpredictable factors which can postpone the development time, that is why we are unfortunately not able to promise an exact ETA.

    Let us know if you have further questions regarding this. Thank you for the feedback.

    Kind Regards,
