Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
The charts are being created based on tables. If the table is server-side, then only the number of rows shown in the table will be loaded on the chart.
If the table is non-server-side, the chart will load all the rows, unless we enable "Follow table filtering" with the table on the same page.
Please let us know if you have any questions, or if you have suggestions how we could improve this, and i will pass it to our developers and to the management.
Not an answer. More excuses. Do you guys ever look into your code to how screwed up it and then fix it? Or is your MO to go right into excusing your stupid coding and design practices?
Just fix it. No matter the table or how it's connected, there should be a simple setting to load the most recent, or load a range (selection by user which presently hangs, and hangs and never loads), or load all which is your default.
Our chart engine functionality and logic is like that currently, but our developers are working intensively to improve the plugin.
Some options such as loading all rows for non-server side tables take a longer time to improve ( same goes for the page where the table is, as well as loading data for the range picker for charts).
Our developers placed a tooltip to warn users that, if the table is non-server side, and has a large data set, the range picker can load slowly or even cause an out of memory error.
We agree with you, in regards that the solution you suggested would be much better.
We passed this to our developers, they are already working to make the improvement,
but there are a lot of unpredictable factors that happen during development, which postpones a solution being finished.
I can assure you they are doing their best to develop all the improvements suggested by our users as soon as possible.
We thank you once again for all the feedback and suggestions on how our plugin can be improved.
wpDataCharts loads entire table by default....
wpDataCharts range picker fails to load (would continue running for hours if I allowed it), ever, just keeps loading......
Most recent versions of all plugins. No matter what chart, the range picker will not load.

As we mentioned on this ticket https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ticket/3052290/ ,
this is the plugin's default behaviour.
At this time it is like this :
The charts are being created based on tables. If the table is server-side, then only the number of rows shown in the table will be loaded on the chart.
If the table is non-server-side, the chart will load all the rows, unless we enable "Follow table filtering" with the table on the same page.
Please let us know if you have any questions, or if you have suggestions how we could improve this, and i will pass it to our developers and to the management.
Thank you
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi, Samuel
Apologies, i forgot to add, if you wish us to inspect the page, please send us a link to it.
This can most probably happen if you have a large number of rows on a non-server side table,
and if the table is on the same page, but we can certainly take a look if you wish.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Simple!
