Is it possible to have logic in the notifications going out to customers?
I created a custom field asking of the customer would like the appointment online or virtual. If the customer chooses virtual, I would like to include the Zoom link. The customer chooses an onsite meeting, the Zoom link and Zoom information would not be sent in the notification.
It is possible to do this with custom code. It would essentially involve bypassing Amelia's "Appointment Approved" notification and instead sending a notification via custom code that applies the logic you want based on the characteristics of the booking.
- I am sorry to disappoint you, but at this time, this is not achievable with any of our built-in functionalities in Amelia.
We don't currently have any conditional logic for Amelia,
so at this time you would have to separate the service into two, one service integrated with Zoom, and another service for in-person appointments, and to create individual custom notification for each service.
- Same goes for notifications, we can only create individual notification for each service , but can't input conditional logic into them.
The developers will work on adding conditional logic, but I can't say an ETA when they might start working on it.
I will pass this to them, but please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page,
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.
After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

I agree, it can probably be made with custom work, but our developers are very busy at the moment, working on some priority tasks and fixing bugs and issues with our plugins, so they won't be having the time for custom work in the near future.
