    Hi

The overhaul of the step-by-step booking form was inevitable and I'm really glad you are doing it now and finally implemented the service selection by category! This one single missing feature was the immediate show-stopper in over twenty of our projects for Amelia. Good times ahead!

While the new form is still in beta, could you please expose the sidebar button background to the customizer? That should be var(--am-c-sb-bgr). Depending on the sidebar background color, the contrast for the steps gets too low which is a big issue in the context of accessibility: visually impaired people might not be able to distinguish such low contrasts.

Besides, the aesthetics suffers and inverted layouts aren't possible if that color is not user-definable.

An example with very bad contrast is attached.

    Thanks!

    Hi Sebastian

Thank you for reaching out to us, and letting us know we're moving in a good direction!

As mentioned in our documentation, at the moment, the background colors of the sidebar steps are a shade of the sidebar background color. We already sent this suggestion to our developers, but we'll make sure to do it again.

Hopefully, in one of our next releases, they'll include the option to modify the contrast of the sidebar steps.

    Thanks again for your feedback!

    Kind Regards,

    Thank you Aleksandar!

There are more color-variables that would be highly appreciated to be editable. If your developers don't want to expose those in directly in the customizer please think about exposing the color variables CSS for advanced users somewhere in the settings.

For now I'll continue overwriting the CSS but is neither the preferred nor a positive approach.

Another important aspect: there is now a lot of animation inside the form. Way too much for my personal taste and also for my clients. But most importantly, your script seems not to honour request for reduced motion in the browser. I understand that giving granular control over so many aspect is most likely outside of your scope. But the animations should at least turn off when reduced motion is requested and a switch to turn it off in general would be of great service to any audience born before 2000. ;-)

I now configured three instances with 5.0 and I stand by my observation that this is the long overdue rewrite to get Amelia out of the corner it was directed/coded into. And I get the impression that you won't close it down as much as the previous iterations. I'm really glad and due to the changes my first client finally approved it to go live.

I just opened another question regarding conditionals in notifications here: https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ticket/3072526/
If there is no easy workaround as of now, please consider this for your roadmap.

    Thanks again!

    Sebastian

Thank you for your feedback, Sebastian, I'll make sure it's forwarded to our development team. This is exactly what we need - input from our customers, so we know what needs to be altered and in what way. There are only a handful of heads in here when it comes to new stuff, and there are thousands of customers so we value each and every feedback both positive and negative.

I sure hope we'll be able to include these modifications in one of our future updates.

I'll take a look at the other ticket and advise Marko if there's anything else I can do to help.

    Kind Regards,
