I would like to know whether you plugin wpdatatables is able to enable data editing in the front end.I know it is manually possible, but I would like the front end user to insert data using their own CSV file for a batch edit. Because in my case it may be needed for them to edit hundreds of entries, and doing it so manually is not an option.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
- I am sorry to disappoint you, but at this time, this is not achievable with any of our built-in functionalities in wpDataTables.
The developers will work on adding this, but I can't say an ETA when they might start working on it.
I will pass this to them, but please feel free to search on this page,
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.
After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

Uploading files to existing tables, to update the data in that way is, unfortunately, at this time not possible.
You have two options:
1. Edit the table in Excel-like editor, where you can select a range of cells from an Excel file (you can open the CSV file in Excel, and select only the new data you want to add), copy them and paste them in the last row of the Excel-Like editor, and that will paste all selected cells in the table.
2. Save the new data you want to add (without headers) as a separate CSV file, go to the database and find the database table. Access it, and go to "Import" tab, where you can import that new CSV file, and update the database table in this way.
Our developers will be working on this in the future, but I have no ETA as to when it will be implemented in the plugin
