    Hello

    My customer is a hairdresser shop and uses Amelia for her appointments. After 5 months in use she has several troubles in using Amelia. I invested some time to reproduce/understand her complaints and actually, I couldn't find a solution. Following is she pointing out:

    • If she has a customer who is calling it is quite complicated to book a new appointment. She had an online tool before and she said while displaying the calendar overview she could only click in the available date and time range and create a new appointment. The date and starting time were already preset from the calendar view.
      In Amelia we have the overview but we can not directly book the appointment as the new appointment icon is on the right corner below. See print screen.
    • If she then books an appointment she has to select the customer from the list (that's fine) but she has to fill in all the required fields. If it's an existing customer it should get all the fields from the last appointment automatically or at least asking if I want to get the fields from the last appointment, e.g. Category, Service, Employee, Location.
      As she could create an appointment from the calendar view she would only check if the rest is okay and create the booking.
      In fact, it would be much easier and faster as the last entries of the customer exist.
      Is there an easier way or a feature request? see print screen.
    • I have seen that there is a list of all customers within their last bookings. But to book I need to switch to the calendar view to see the overall bookings.

    It has been a while since she asked. I went through the doc and YouTube but couldn't find any of these topics. Do you see any options to reply adequate. What experiences did you do with other customers?

    Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

    I can see what you mean, and i can see how this would benefit a situation like that for quicker booking with customer on the phone.

     Thank you for this feedback and for suggestions to improve the plugin, we have immense value from that, as we constantly strive to make modifications so that we can accommodate as many scenarios for various customers.

    - I am sorry to disappoint you, but at this time, for all of the mentioned points, this is not achievable with any of our current built-in functionalities in Amelia.

    The developers will work on adding this, but I can't say an ETA when they might start working on it.

    I will pass this to them, but please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page

     to see if someone may be already suggested these features. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.

    After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.

    You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;

    and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

    At this time, the only "auto populate fields" functionality can happen, if a customer is a WordPress user, or if they log into their Customer Panel;

    In that case, if a customer goes to the front-end, or if someone logs in on their behalf;

    the fields get prepopulated with all the customer data, such as name, phone number, email;

    But still, the customer has to first choose which service they want, which time slot, employee, everything like that... ( you can hide employee selection, though)

    Unless you place a shortcode that presents only one service - then they will immediately see only time slots, if they select one, the customer info is prepopulated, and they can get quicker booking;

    but it is not the same as taking customer booking over the phone , so that is different.

    We don't have a feature to allow such quick booking as you described, at this moment , but thank you again for pointing that out, we will do our best to add better features in that regard.

    Thank you for your detailed reply. It's a pity - that is for sure. 

    If you will implement that would be great, I will inform my customer today. What I hadn't understood is if I need to add a feature request or if you would create one. 

    I pretty sure it would be great or helpful for everyone. I will highly appreciate if you could add it to your developer's list.

    I went through a lot of feature requests but couldn't find any of the asked.

    My sincerest apologies for the delayed response time.

    No problem, i am happy to advise on the current limitations, and we will do our best to improve all the functionalities that we mentioned.

    I will personally pass all the details we mentioned as suggestion to the developers and to the management; they will review it, and we will do our best to develop better functionalities for booking over the phone, as well as to perhaps pick from customer's last booking to auto-populate some fields.
