Hi there, The Amelia plugin was not autoupdated by Siteground when an update became available even though I had the licence activated. I had to manually update. I asked Siteground about it and they said that they tried and failed and to ask you if you had something in place preventing auto-updates of the plugin? Thanks in advance.
If you activated the purchase code in Amelia Settings/Activation, the update should be offered in the Plugins section. On some WordPress installations, you need to deactivate the plugin first to see the update offered, so please try that.
If that doesn't work, try going through Dashboard/Updates. See if you can update the plugin through there, and if that doesn't work either, you can follow the manual update procedures in the article linked below:
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

Hi there, thanks for your reply. The issue is not the ability to update the plugin from the dashboard, the issue is with Siteground hosting being able to autoupdate the plugin when an update becomes available. Most good hosts these days will autoupdate the plugins once the licences are activated on them. Amelia was not autoupdated since the last update in April (the licence is active) and Siteground have indicated that this is an issue on your side, that maybe you don't allow hosts to autoupdate your plugin. Looking forward to your reply.
We haven't had many reports that would lead us to believe there's an issue with Amelia's auto-update feature. A lot of our customers use SiteGround, while these reports come in from all sides. They're usually linked to permissions in WordPress or incorrectly passed purchase codes. Try deactivating the purchase code from Amelia Settings/Activation. If you're able to do that, activate it again and wait for the next update.
If you're unable to deactivate the license, would you be able to provide us with database access credentials in a Private response, so we can check it out?
