In an event, you have the possibility to export your participants:
Then you can select how the data should be formatted:
This works for the normal fields (so they are separated automatically), but not for the custom fields:
The data in there is always separated by a comma, so it is inconsistent,
Additionally, we use commas in the custom fields texts, so we can't just separate these individual fields automatically.
The different languages also add unnecessary complexity. It would be better to just add a separate "Language" field to the data (to know the client's language in general) and then always use the same field name/label
Or you could just export the answers to the custom fields in individual fields and indicate something like "customfield1", "customfield2", "option1" etc.
In terms of working with data, this general approach makes a lot more sense.
Thank you for your explanation. We now understand exactly what you mean. Unfortunately, it works that way right now and we can't change that at the moment.
But I understand you and I agree that it is a good proposal
I'll kindly ask you to add it as a suggestion on this page.

Hello,
When we export the participants of our events and set the separating character from comma to semicolon, this is not applied to the custom fields.
As we use commas in the texts of our custom fields, we have trouble separating the values afterwards.
Hello Sascha,
I'm afraid that we didn't quite get what you want to achieve exactly? Can you please send us a couple of screenshots?
Looking forward to your reply.
Kind Regards,
