To be completely honest, i am not sure, i haven't tried something like this before.
I will certainly check with senior colleagues from our 2nd level Team.
But i am not sure if i fully understood exactly what you need.
For example, as far as built-in functions go, we have this Export feature, which can create a CSV file with exported values from various fields, including custom fields.
And we have the same feature to export details from Events;
But if you need to export the questions, as well, not 100% sure about that...
I will certainly check this, and will come back with a confirmation as soon as they respond.
I am building a simple datastudio report which connects to the database and does a simple select from the appointments table from AMELIA. The custom fields are stored in one field called 'info' and another table field. As this data (custom fields) are stored in a sting with delimiters I want to be able to parse through the string to extract the elements. Ie ANSWERS. Is there a routine or code which will parse the string programmatically to strip out the values. I know for a specific serviceID what and how many custom fields I am always collecting so applying a PARSE pattern would work. I will try defining one using XLS formulas to get the sequence right than I will build a routine on my DB to extract them using a function. If you have anything that might help that would be great.
So sorry about all the waiting time. Thank you for clarifying with more details, i believe i understand what you need to achieve now.
I was just trying to confirm this, but am still unable to. We will need help from the developers to confirm what might be the best approach and if they have something useful to help you with this.
Thank you for your patience, i will do my best to get confirmation as soon as possible.
- I am sincerely sorry to disappoint you, but at this time, this is not achievable with any of our functionalities in Amelia.
The developers will work on adding a possibility for something like you described, but I can't say an ETA when they might start working on it.
I will pass this to them, but please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page,
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.
After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
Is there an approach or code to unpack the values from the custom fields and questions attached to an appointment?
Is there a parser ? What would be a recommended approach?
Hi, Martin
Thanks for reaching out to us

Hi Milos
Sorry I was very unclear in my message.
