Hi, I need to create a relation between 2 datatables. I open the first (the main) one, if I clic on a value, there must be an event that open the second one showing the detail.
Let me know how that seems in regards of connecting the tables;
-
Regarding this functionality to click into a value, to open and show details;
the only idea i have to create something looking similar to this, what i highlighted on the picture;
We have a Responsive design feature, which you can use to create hidden/collapsed columns;
and when you click on a "plus" expander symbol;
it can expand and show hidden details, here is a typical example :
For mobile screens, a typical layout with our built-in responsive setup can be, for example, like on this screenshot, two columns showing fully, ( you can choose one or more to be "visible") and the rest of the columns, "hidden",
then there is an " + " button, to open a certain row, and show all the details if that makes sense?
Please check out this Documentation section with a step-by-step example of how to achieve this, and let me know what you think.
But if you want this behaviour on all screens, you can simply set a larger value for the "width" when responsiveness activates; in the main plugin settings ;
You can increase the Tabled with to a very high number, such as 2000px, or 4000px, and then it will behave with the Responsive feature on larger screens, too.
-
Let me know if perhaps this might achieve what you need,
or if i maybe misunderstood, please correct me and if you can elaborate in a bit more detail,
as to what kind of solution you need, and we will do our best to help, if a solution can be made with our built-in features.
-
We don't do custom work, but we can always recommend Teams such as WP Kraken for that, we can't advise on their pricing, though.
Thank you very much for the video, it showed what you need perfectly.
- We don't have a solution to make the entire row clickable for this;
But at least i can give you some solution.
You could use our prefilter through URL feature, which can be used to set dynamic links, in the legame column;
You will have to create URL links , for each cell, a slightly different link; with an URL leading to a page that is prefiltered by the value from the column legame of the second table, and then another page can open with the prefiltered second table;
Please check more details on how this works on this page;
And let me know how that seems, if this might be a workaround for you and of course if you have any questions?

Something like the picture I attach here
is it possible?
If not, can you develop a customization?
Thanks in advance
best regards
Hi, Matteo
Thanks for reaching out to us

To be fully honest, i am not sure if i completely understand the example provided by the screenshot.
-
I can at least give you some information for a start , and we will go from there.
wpDataTables has a method for connecting several tables to each other by the Foreign key concept.
Please check out how this works with examples, on this Documentation page;

Thanks, unfortunately I need something more specific.
I made a customization with a script code

Sory for the delay, Matteo
