How do I add a signup link for my customers. The email is not being sent when forgot password is selected and that's way too messy of a way to signup. There has to be a signup link. Please help.
Or at least when they schedule a new appointment they should be able to create an account and a password at the same time. Please help me.
So I created an smtp account and set it up so the issue with the email should be resolved. However, it's still convoluted to not have a signup option so people can register for classes simply because having to choose "forgot password" just to get their password makes no sense and would require most people to contact us to ask what to do...and the idea is to make things easier.
As mentioned in the chat beacon, we'll post the same response here. Do let us know if you have any further questions.
We're glad to hear you were able to set up your email notifications. Amelia doesn't have a sign-up option. When a customer books an appointment, their customer account is created within Amelia. If you enabled the password requirement for the panel, you can also include the %customer_panel_url% placeholder in your email templates, so when a customer books an appointment (or an event) they will receive a link with a unique token that will take them to the Customer Panel page, where they can configure their password.
Awesome all is good. Everything works if you guys want to check out a new website I just launched for basketball training using all your widgets and shortcodes...feel free to take a look at https://ostbasketballnj.com
You are welcome to use it as an example wherever you would like.
First, thank you for choosing Amelia and being our loyal customer! I am reaching out to you today to find out if you would be interested in participating in our case study. We are creating success stories of our loyal and successful customers, and we would really appreciate it if you would like to be a part of that.
If you are interested, the next step would be to organize an interview and talk about your business and what you have been using Amelia for. Please let me know your thoughts on this.
I visited your website and clicked on "CUSTOMER PANEL". It showed up directly the form of "FORGOT PASSWORD". Can you provide informations about how you've done it?
Hey loannis! Sure thing. So I removed the option of creating accounts for members. I changed in the settings to the option that simply provides a unique access link to each customer panel. This eliminates the need to have usernames and passwords and it's simply a link they can bookmark to their panel.
So sorry I did not answer you sooner. I actually did not see this until loannis just asked me a question which I saw in my email. I would gladly take part in the success story for you. I have built a couple sites with Amelia and the OST basketball site is one of the better sites implemented with Amelia.
We have a page for Customer Success Stories where we try to promote and describe Amelia from users' perspectives.
We want to have as many separate stories as we can and to cover many industries because we often get questions if we have examples where Amelia is used for a specific business and that would be a great way to show how. Some stories will be written and some will have videos, and where we can we will also show companies' photos or users' photos because we want to make them as real as possible.
We currently combine two ways of making these stories, one in a form of an interview and the other in written questions (especially when users tell us that their English is not good and that they would prefer written questions).
Some of the questions that we ask are:
What kind of business do you run?
How long have you been in business?
How much of your time did you spend on scheduling before starting to use a booking solution?
How did Amelia solve the problem?
Which features and integrations do you use?
Are you missing some features?
How would you describe Amelia with 3 adjectives?
We have more questions but I hope that I managed to explain them a little bit better.
