We had some bugs with conditionals in a previous couple of versions - the devs have fixed it in the latest one, can you check if you have the latest plugin version, please?

We also had issues with sanitizing HTML in strings, and that was also fixed in the latest version.

Let me know if you already have it - but perhaps i am not understanding the issue correctly.

If you can help to clarify - is the content of the cell this ? : 

Starter<span class="display-none">highlight</span>

And you are setting a conditional like this :

I am not sure what kind of value return should happen, sorry that i misunderstand.

If you set a condition like this - This will add a CSS class of "highlight" to the entire row,

but it will not "set cell content".

So if you can elaborate that with a bit more detail, please?

Would it be possible if we could access this table from the Wp-Admin, to take a closer look?

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. 

We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties. 

You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.

Yes, i can see what you mean now, thank you for that.

I am also able to replicate on my local WP, if i try any kind of HTML in a cell, conditional won't work for "contains".

The only cell reacting to conditional is one without any HTML, just a simple string.

I will have to check if this is a bug, or if it was expected behaviour, it seems that any HTML can not be used as part of "contains" conditional during this testing.

I have to check with the senior 2nd level Team and the developers; as soon as i get confirmation on this, i will come back.

We will do the best we can to provide any kind of workaround solution for you.

We just have to make sure and get this confirmed by our developers, i hope they can come up with something for us.

Apologies for all the waiting time, but i will intensively check in with them, and as soon as they do some tests and confirm if what we need is possible, i will come back to it immediately.

Can you please try this.

You can find this JS file :

content/plugins/wpdatatables/assets/js/wpdatatables/wpdatatables.js

around line 1872 you will find this :

 cellVal = element.clone().children().remove().end().html();

then replace it with this

cellVal = element.clone().html();

The devs need to test this before it goes in to the plugin core.

Also, please disable the 'Use minified wpDataTables Javascript'  option in the main plugin settings > Custom JS and CSS

That is awesome, i will tell the devs that it worked for you

They will have to do additional testing on different setups, to make sure that it will properly work for everyone,

before they implement it;  

They will do their best to make it part of the next update, but i can't guarantee it with certainty.

It should be, but you can check this when you update the plugin next time, in our patch notes, you can see the changeLog in the plugin's dashboard.

If you don't see it there, you would have to repeat this process again.
