After a customer books an appointment, they can choose to add the appt to their calender. I tested with Google Calender on my personal gmail account. The approved appt correctly appears in Google Calender for the customer. However, when they cancel the appt, it does not automatically delete the entry in the customer's Google Calendar.
I can see this is going to lead to some very confused customers who forgot they canceled their appointment, but show up to it anyways, because their Calendar shows they have an appointment that day.
Under the Settings>Integrations>Google Calender, I do have "Send event invitation email" turned off. This was sending an email to the customers that I think will be confusing.
How do I fix this? I searched the articles and public tickets but most of what I found relates to the company/employee's Google Calendar integration.
EDIT to say: I talked about this "problem" with my wife, who is more Wordpress savvy than I am. She said that what I'm describing is 100% normal behavior, as it's a completely different thing (privacy-wise) for a plug-in to insert something into someone's Google Calendar than to remove it. I don't fully understand what she means, but I kinda see her point.
So if you say the same thing, then I guess I will just need to alert customers that if they cancel an appointment, and had allowed Amelia to make entry into their Calendar for the appt, they will need to manually delete that entry.
Thanks, Milos, I'd appreciate that. It would be great to know if this isn't normal expected behavior, because I can surely see some customers forgetting to delete their google calendar entries.
Basically, Amelia only sends the initial information about the Calendar Event, to get created in the Calendar; but after that, if it gets cancelled, Amelia does not delete it, unfortunately, it is like that at the moment.
So customers would have to manually delete them for the time being.
Our developers might work on trying to improve that in the future, but i can't say an ETA on it.

Hi, Jason
Thank you for reporting this.
To be fully honest with you, i am not 100% sure if this is expected behaviour, due to what your wife explained, it might very well be the case,
but i will escalate this to be checked by my senior 2nd level colleagues, and the developers.
We're gonna double-check this, and i will get back to you with confirmation.
Thank you for your patience.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
