I am looking for a calendar plug in to use for my boat rental service... I am having a difficult time because it is typically finding booking services for time slots... now it could be used similarly because the boats will have two time slots per day - however the design and terminology are all related to this type instead of booking a boat for the respective timeslot - any idea if this is possible
I am sorry, but i don't seem to fully understand what you described.
For example, if you need to change the labels, such as "service", or "employee", we can do this in the Customize section of Amelia.
You could say "Boats" instead of "Services",
or alternatively you could make services named as "Rent a boat" or something similar;
and create dummy employees to pose as "boats", by changing the employee label to "boat":
and then you can create the respective time slots , when you input the working hours for each "employee ( boat) " ;

Let me know if this helps, or if i completely misunderstood the concept.
You can also take a look at our Quick Start Guide page here, to get acquainted with Amelia basics;
Additionally, I just wanted to point out that we have pages with Demos, that you can use to try out some of the plugin's features - https://wpamelia.com/demos/
and there is a 15-day money-back guarantee period, so if you purchase the plugin, you can safely fully test it out,
we would assist you with our support along the way, and if it doesn't fit your needs you can request and receive a refund in that period.
So I have this issue where we offer services from 2 different types of employees - Therapists and Teachers. For now I can see from the settings in Amelia that I can change the labels for all services only. I cannot change the labels for specific services or categories. I have 3 categories - healing, meditation and Yoga. For healing I have therapists and for meditation and yoga I have teachers. Is there a way to have the different labels for the different categories?
I can see what you mean, for this use-case you would like to have two types of labels depending on the category of service that these providers are assigned to.
We are truly sorry to disappoint you, but at this moment we do not have a valid solution.
As you pointed out , that is correct, now we can only change these labels for all employees,
but this is a great idea for an improvement, so if you can be so kind, please add your suggestion for our developers, they will do their best to add an option for this as soon as possible.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like, where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
