I would like to know if exists the functionality to copy & paste rows in the frontend.
I'm using wpdatatables in a website and clients ask me for this functionality, it would be a good idea the option to select a row, copy this row, and then paste it into the table
I think this functionality doesn't exist, isn't it? there is a workaround to do this?
Other than that, in the "standard view", we currently don't have an option for this functionality, but we already had suggestions like this from users, so our developers will work on improving this functionality in the future.
But Excel-like editor is not the solution, because I will not have the same functionalities as "standard view", for example, buttons to add/edit/delete.
Do you know when you will have this functionality added to your product?
Another question:
In a column, if I choose "use values from another wpDataTable (foreign key)", is there any option to have "multi-value select box" in Editor Input Type?
Or perhaps you can help me with a workaround. I want to link another wdpdatatable (cities list) to my wpdatatable and have the possibility to choose more than one option (more than one city)
I see what you mean, that is correct. If you are in the back-end, it would be a bit easier to switch to Excel just to edit values, but you would have to switch back and forth if you also need the edit buttons; that is correct.
You will have the same functionality regarding add/edit/delete; because it would behave the same as when you double-click on a spreadsheet to edit, or press Delete on a cell to delete the value from it, or press into a cell to add new value to it;
but you would not have the buttons and some other features, compared to the standard view - that is correct, there are certain differences, especially the visual styles.

I don't have an ETA on when we will add more functionality regarding that, the developers are doing their best to add as many features as possible, basically as more users ask for a same feature, it gets pushed higher on the priority list.
And also, there are unpredictable factors that can happen during development, such as bugs, which can postpone the time needed.
Sorry that we are not able to provide a timeline for it.
You can add your suggestion for this as a built-in feature on this page and our developers would place it on their "TO-DO" list.
As more customers request a feature, it gets pushed quicker on the list. We always strive to make our product better and deliver the most value to our end users, so we carefully review each suggestion.
If you'd like, you can follow our changeLog page, where we always state new features/changes on each Update;
and our newsLetter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

Regarding foreign keys :
For filtering, you can create multi-select box; here is an example from a test table :
but for editing, you can only use selectbox;
Important note is that editing for columns that are configured as foreign keys is also supported out of the box. The only limitation is that the only possible editor input type for those columns is the single-value selectbox, since the options are limited with respect to what the remote table contains.
If you enable editing for a column configured as a foreign key and you choose a single-value selectbox as an editor input type, editing will work naturally, and the IDs will be stored in the column.

Hi, Antonio
Sorry for the late reply.

The only built-in way to do this at this moment is, if you set an Excel-like editor (spreadsheet) view.
Please check out more details about it on this documentation page.
Other than that, in the "standard view", we currently don't have an option for this functionality, but we already had suggestions like this from users, so our developers will work on improving this functionality in the future.
