I want to include the Amelia Customer panel into my website (its under construction, so dont´mind the appearence of the link I am sending you, please. I am just trying out the functionality).
The thing is that, I go to my website, I sign up as a wordpress user that has also the amelia client role in worpdress. But when I am on "my account" site, if I want to see my Amelia customer panel I am asked to sign in again for Amelia.
That is very confusing for the client that has already signed in a second ago.
Is that how Amelia works?
The ideal case would be for the user to sign in as a wordpress user and be automatically signed in for Amelia.
I guess that this should be possible because on the "My account" site there is also the booking widget and when I book a service I AM allready signed in as the wordpress/Amelia client user. So, I guess something is not correct with the Customer panel Widget.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Thank you for providing me with the admin credentials.
I have performed checks and there is no WordPress user with just the "Amelia Customer" role, and that is really important because if there are multiple Amelia roles assigned to one user, this will cause a conflict. Please test it out with a user that only has the "Amelia customer" user role assigned to it.
In regards to the "[email protected]" email not being able to get registered as the employee, this is because there is a customer with the same email. To add the employee with that email, you would need to delete this customer first.
Hope this helps you.
Please reach out to us if you have any other questions.
The whole point of using and integrating Amelia with my wordpress website is that I should be able to synchronize it with other plugins/Systems such as learndash or woocommerce suscriptions... That´s what it says on your website and product description. In order to do so, the wordpress user must have assigned different roles such as Amelia customer, learndash costumer, wordpress user... and so on. If I have to keep just one role for Amelia customer, what´s the whole point of this system? Am I missing something?
Or do you mean that the user can only have 1 Amelia role, but he can have other roles from other plugins like learndash or woocommerce? Is that possible?
Another question:
I have to import all of my clients from another booking platform (simplybookme) to wordpress and Amelia. What is the best way to do this without getting any problems later? Or is it better to ask each client to register from scratch from the frontend?
"Or do you mean that the user can only have 1 Amelia role, but he can have other roles from other plugins like learndash or woocommerce? Is that possible?"
Yes, your users can have other roles from other plugins in addition to the Amelia Customer role.
Just like Chris explained, it is possible for one WordPress user to have multiple roles, but it is important for the Amelia roles not to be mixed up as that could cause a permissions issue.
There is an option in Amelia to import customers. Please navigate to the Amelia/Customers page.
Hope this works for you.
Please reach out to us if you have any other questions.
So about importing customers. If I import the customers via Amelia:
1. Are those customers automatically wordpress users?
2. Can I choose or add columns with information in an excel file and then turn it into csv? For example, can I add a column with email adress and another one with normal address? Will thta work in Amelia and wordpress?
3. Where is the password of the customer located? If a customer wants to change it or doesn´t remember his password can I send him an email to rest password? If he then changes the password via Amelia will it automatically change it for his wordpress user?
1. Those customers will not be WordPress users, but you can connect those customers to WordPress users.
2. You can save an excel spreadsheet as a CSV file. For the import of the customers to work, the CSV file needs to be formatted properly. If you want to see how the properly-formatted CSV file looks, you can export customers on the Amelia/Customers page.
3. Are you referring to the customer panel password or the password of the WordPress user with the Amelia Customer role for the back-end of WordPress?
About the restoring of the password for Amelia Customer panel:
Sorry, I just saw in the customer panel in the frontend there is the option for the customer to restore the password.
"3. Are you referring to the customer panel password or the password of the WordPress user with the Amelia Customer role for the back-end of WordPress?"
I meant both, shouldn´t they be the same? if an Amelia customer automatically becomes a wordpress user (I think I can set that up, right?) should the wordpress users password be the same than the Amelia password?
And about the booking widget:
So I have set up the booking widget to ask for name, phone and email address.
When a new customer books a service through the bookingwidget, how does he get a password to acces the costumer panel later?
And the already registered Amelia clients that have acces to their customer panel. if they book through the booking widget don´t they get the option of "access my account" in the booking widget? Do they have to put their details again every time?
Sorry for so many questions, but as I get to work with the system new problems come up.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
In regards to the customer password, the password is the same for customer panel access of the Amelia Customer and the WordPress user with the Amelia Customer role if they are connected. You can enable the option to automatically create a WordPress user with the Amelia customer role upon the booking of the customer. The option is located on the Amelia/Settings/Roles settings page, it's called "Automatically create Amelia Customer user".
For the purpose of sending a customer panel URL to the customer upon booking, you could add a %customer_panel_url% placeholder to the "Appointment approved" notification template.
Hope this helps you.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
What I meant is if it is not possible that the usual booking widget has also an option at the end of "access my account" or register. Right now the client has to put his details again every time.
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more vote the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.

Hello Julia,
Unfortunately, there is currently no option for the customer to be logged in automatically when they book an appointment.
You can suggest that feature on the following link: https://features.wpamelia.com/
We carefully follow suggestions from our customers and the more vote the feature gets, the more priority we put on implementing that feature in one of the future updates.
