Unfortunately, it is not possible to create tables from CSV or Excel files if they are not on the same server, in the folder where WordPress documents are being saved.
If you are saving the data in JSON format then you can access that data, if the file has the appropriate structure for wpDataTable and the permission to be accessed.
If you are saving the data in Amazon database Mysql, Postgres, MSSQl Amzron RDS, then you will be able to add a separate database connection and create tables using queries.

We are using WordPress function wp_upload_dir() for location of upload files. By default is set to the upload folder (wp-content/uploads). However, you should be able to change that location. On this link you can see how to do that.
Hi,
I have installed wpdatatables plugin. We are able to create default table and working fine.
But when we are creating table from data source option that time not able to do. error is coming provided file not found.
I got the problem, this error is coming bcz of url mismatch. Our website and media are in different domain. we are using S3 bucket for storing media.
Is there any solution for this situation. Please help me.
