I'd like to offer "hybrid" online/in person services, with different capacities for each customer type within the same service. But am finding this difficult to set up in Amelia. I can think of multiple use cases for this need, especially coming out of COVID. Indeed, I cant think of any hybrid environment that would not benefit from having separate capacities for in-person and online customers.
One way I could see this happening "easily" in Amelia, is through the implementation of extras. If it were simply possible in admin settings, to "mark" a specific service extra as having its "maximum" and "minimum" quantities be applied across all customers within a single time slot, then this extra could act as the "attend online" option. As soon as this extra is selected for one customer, the second customer who books the same time slot would have "one less" maximum available for this extra.
Anyhoo, I have made numerous workarounds to my website's Amelia booking system to get it working for my needs. I don't think my needs are all that complicated, and would much rather use Amelia's features "out of the box" as they were intended. If this would be possible, I'd be grateful.
I can see that you managed to create a workaround for your installation to achieve this goal;
but i will certainly pass all of the details to the developers. I believe they might already be working on a similar built-in solution; but i can't say an ETA when it will be finished.
As i mentioned on the other ticket,
I'll kindly ask you to also add it as your personal feature suggestion on this page.
Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
