I'm using the shortcode [ameliaevents type=list] to display the events I have created. Is it possible to limit the number of events displayed? For example, set a limit of 6? It would be great, regarding where I put the shortcode, I don't want all the events to be displayed.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

Did you try to use tags for Events, perhaps?
There is a shortcode you can use, to only show events of a certain tag.
[ameliaevents tag='name'] if you want to show just the events that belong to the same tag defined during the creation of events, where “name” will be replaced with the tag name,
More details about tags:
Here you can define the tag for your event. These tags will be shown on the front-end event list so the customers can filter the events. It is not necessary to create these tags, so if you, for example, don’t have too many events or your events are a part of the same category you don’t need to add tags to them. If you don’t create tags the tag filter will not be shown on the front-end event list and your customers will be able to filter the events only by the date. However, if you have, for example, various events like sports events, conferences, classes, you can create these tags to make it easier for your customers to find them.
Unfortunately, I really want to display only the next 3,4,5,or 6 events on the homepage, and all the events on a dedicated page. And I don't think that the tags could help me with that (because it's manual and I want full control on the number of dynamically displayed events).
I am sorry to disappoint you, but at this time, this is not achievable with any of our built-in functionalities in Amelia.
The developers will work on adding this, but I can't say an ETA when they might start working on it.
I will pass this to them, but please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page,
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.
After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can also follow our changeLog page, where we state any changes/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.

Let me know how that seems, if that might perhaps work for what you need. Thanks.

Hello Milos,
Thank you for your answer !
Unfortunately, I really want to display only the next 3,4,5,or 6 events on the homepage, and all the events on a dedicated page.
And I don't think that the tags could help me with that (because it's manual and I want full control on the number of dynamically displayed events).
Could this feature be developped by your team ?
Thanks,
Sérey
Hi, Sérey
Sorry for the delayed answer.
- I will check with the developers if there is any workaround at this time to achieve this;
or if they plan to implement a solution such as this,
and I will confirm it for you as soon as I get a response. Thank you for your patience.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Milo,
It would be great if the developers have a solution to achieve this.
Thanks, I will wait for your answer.
