I have a client who asks me to integrate an appointment scheduling plugin (with the following features:
- It must be synchronized with the Outlook calendar of the people in charge of making appointments with the candidates. It must be able to read the availability automatically according to the Outlook calendar + create rules + set appointment time slots on the module.
- It must be able to not propose appointments if my client wants a time delay between appointments (for example there must be a 30 minute window between each appointment, whether they are made on the site or in the Outlook calendar) to leave a time margin.
- It must be able to automatically send an Outlook meeting invitation to the person in charge of making the appointments, with all the necessary information (contact details, area, etc.)
Does your plugin do all this? Thank you for your feedback
Thank you for reaching out to us and apologies for the delayed response as we had our National holiday for the past few days.
Amelia has integration with the Outlook Calendar, with Outlook Synchronization, all employees in Amelia can sync their working schedule with their Outlook Calendar. Each booked appointment will be created in their Outlook calendar and events created in Outlook Calendar will restrict customers from booking appointments at the same time and risking overlapping of the appointments.
For the purpose of a before/after appointment time being not available, you can use the buffer time settings.
Buffer time (before and after), that you’ve set when you configured services, is the time that doesn’t affect appointment duration but reduces the number of free time slots in the schedule. If, for example, you have configured a 30 minutes buffer time before for the service that lasts 4 hours, your customer will see 4-hour time slots during their booking, but they won’t see the 30 minutes buffer in the time slot. The next time someone tries to book the same service for the same employee, the next suggested slot will appear 30 minutes after the first appointment finishes.
All the participants of the appointment will receive a notification with all the information that you set in the notification template.
Hope this helps you.
Please reach out to us if you have any other questions.
