Yes, this is a custom field, but then Amelia won't automatically assign the date of birth to the customer profile, I'd have to do it manually, correct?
We understand your point of view and for that reason, I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page.
Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.
Posting a suggestion there feels like trying to mop up the ocean. It's saturated with suggestions, and the most voted ones are ancient. The most voted one is suggestion #20, and the newest one is suggestion #636. Feels like a waste of time, honestly.
Thank you for your patience as we worked to get back to you, we apologize for the delay, due to a high volume of tickets our team has received due to our national holidays, our response time has been delayed, but we're working to ensure everyone receives the help they're needing!
Everyone has their own ideas about what Amelia should look like and everyone is trying to customize it to suit their own need which is only natural. Over the past few years, including this one, we have implemented a lot of proposals that had a lot of votes from our users.
Proposals that have 1, 5, or 20 votes will unfortunately not be implemented, while proposals that have several hundred and many more votes will be implemented over time.
If your proposal is interesting and if it has a lot of votes from other users, it will be implemented in Amelia over time, we do not do customization for each user separately, but we work according to the principle of demand and a large number of votes from our users. The features that many of our users are looking for are being implemented over time.
If you have any more questions please open another ticket and we will gladly help you there.
The real issue is that this system of suggestions only promotes the ideas that already have a ton of votes.
And the ones getting the most votes aren't the ones that are most needed by the community, it's the ones that get the most visibility.
And they get the most visibility, not because they're the most important, but because they're old, so they get exposed for longer.
All the newest suggestions (some of them quite easy to execute) get shadowed beneath the ancient suggestions that have hundreds of votes.
A more efficient method, that would make Amelia better, faster; is to categorize each suggestion for difficulty of implementation.
This way the team could implement a lot of small, but important, features, that would make the plugin a lot better for everyone, in a short amount of time.
Example: instead of working only on the top 3 most voted suggestions, work on the top 1 most voted and top 10 easiest to implement.
Thank you for your clarification and we will pass it on to our management in the meantime, if you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Hello Lui,
Yes, that is correct but for now, unfortunately, there is no other way to add those data to a customer profile.

It's weird that there's a notification for customers birthdays, but not an automatic way to collect their birthdates.
