I updated the plug-in last night. After that the plug-in started throwing errors. First, it said it couldn't find a file.
This file:nurturetherapeutics.netwwwrootwp-contentpluginsameliabookingameliabooking.php
Then I contacted my hosting company Hostek. This is the chat log I had with them which documents what happened and what they did and what I did.
My WP site is returning "Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute." But, I didn't put it in maintenance mode.
Thank you for the information, 😊 we have received your request and member of our support team will review the request in the order in which it was received.
Hello Yvonne, Thank you for contacting us. It seems one of your plugins may be the cause of your issue. Have you recently made changes or when did the site last work?
A few minutes ago
I was updating my plugins
Yes, it seems the issue is with ameliabooking
PHP Warning: require_once(D:home

You may need to disable the plugin or if you are able to go to your dashboard revert the changes. Also you are ysing php 7.0.30 you may want to switch to 7.4 or higher from your WCP dashboard.
OK. But how do I get the site running again?
Updated to PHP 7.4.10
I have disabled the plugin so you should be able to visit the site now.
You can enable it by going to your File Manager then plugins and then rename it back to ameliabooking
Also good to have PHP 7.4 as well, good.
File Manager is where?
It is in your WCP.
Nevermind
Plugins is in wp-content which is in wwwroot.
Now getting this error when I try to reactivate Amelia Booking Warning: require_once(D:home
urturetherapeutics.netwwwrootwp-contentpluginsameliabooking/vendor/autoload.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:home
urturetherapeutics.netwwwrootwp-contentpluginsameliabookingameliabooking.php on line 129
But, I renamed the directory
The file is definitely there; nurturetherapeutics.netwwwrootwp-contentpluginsameliabooking
Just so we are sure, you removed the plugin but the directory is still there? Do you wish to remove it fully so you can install it again or you want to remove it for now?
If I uninstall it and reinstall it will I lose my settings?
I have not uninstalled it yet no.
This will lose your settings, but I can see that it is activated now and the site is running. What do you see on the dashboard end?
Let me check
It won't let me activate Amelia.
Very disappointing
It was A LOT of work to configure Amelia
After you renamed it back to ameliabooking were there any other changes done or it just stoped working on the dashboard? Are you getting a diffrent error when trying to access and use it now?
I just deleted it
I think I can restore the folder from our backups and if the configuration changes were made there we may be able to restore it back to what it was.
That would be great.
I just reinstalled it and it is throwing another error. Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function AmeliaBookingDomainValueObjectsStringopenssl_random_pseudo_bytes() in D:home

When was the issue there? I need to know if for example it was working on the 19th or the 18th and if it happened after you updated the plugin.
As far as I know, Amelia was working as of an hour ago, But, the last appointment booking was on the 16th @ 7:27am.
So, if you revert to the 16th at 9:00AM that should work well.
ok I will try it from then and get back to you.
Thank you!!
I'm going to have to go to sleep. Do you need anything from me now?
I have initiated the resotere so we are waiting on that now.
Should I wait?
I will go get ready for bed ... and check back in.
I have restored the files, let me know if the configuration has been restored on your end.
Unfortunately, it is still throwing a fatal error when I try to activate the plug-in

Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.Â
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.Â
