I am building a site for a singing teacher - he wants to have a single type of service but the selection to choose different class durations and consequently different prices to reflect that.
Currently I have set up services for each variation however (see image below), I think this will look overwhelming for students trying to select a class (this is a small snippet, there are ~20 different price variations).
Is it possible to set this up instead as "weekly/fortnightly lessons" and then have the option within that to select the duration and have the price adjust based on that selection (30 mins $45, 45 mins $65, 1 hour $85)?
Secondly, can the system charge the customer weekly or fortnightly?
Unfortunately, currently, it is not possible to set this up exactly as you need it, as you described weekly/fortnightly lessons to choose from.
We might add this functionality in the future, but I can't say an ETA on it.
I'll kindly ask you to add it as a feature suggestion on this page.
Features are pushed up on our "to-do" list when there are a lot of customers requesting those features, so having your vote as a customer can be beneficial to this feature being developed sooner.
-
-At this time , the only workarounds might be , either to create individual services, with their own durations;
or to create an initial service duration of 30 mins for $45 ; then add a selection of an "extra 15 minutes" for extended durations, that will be charged,
for example like this :
;
and then add extras, 15 minutes each, maximum of 2 times :
Extras allow you the possibility to add additional services or products customers can buy when they are scheduling the appointment
And for the second question, sorry to disappoint, but that is not possible to do with any of current Amelia's features. We don't have any auto-renewal online charges, the only online payment can happen during the initial booking process; and if you wish to set up any additional/partial payments for later ,it can only be done as deposits, and then the rest can only be paid on-site, or in-person.
Perhaps we will add it in the future, but I can't say an ETA for it either. You can certainly request this feature as well on the features page I gave you earlier.

Let me know if anything was not clear, and if I can provide further assistance. Thanks.
I tried to follow your instructions but I didnt understand. Is there a way we could get on a call together to do this? I didnt understand where to find these locations and I dont know what you mean by edit the file.
That is correct. Whenever the plugin takes an Update from us, it will overwrite these changes, back to default code values, and default images.
So, you can of course choose, not to update for a while, or if you update, you will have to repeat this process.
We are working to implement a permanent customization feature to allow a user-friendly way to edit all of this, but i can't say an ETA when this will be finished.

1. I found this path in my cPanel under 'File Manager' - is this the right place to make these changes or not? In both the icons & payments paths, I uploaded a new svg called 'directdebit' (see below), but then I re-read your original message other screenshot below) and it says that the name and size has to stay the same... what did you mean by that - the same as what? Could you please elaborate? Are you saying that the name of the file needs to stay as onsite.svg but I just change the image itself? The onsite svg is 2.29KB, but the directdebit svg is 2.64KB - is this a problem? If so, how do you resize an svg to be 2.29KB? Or have I completely misunderstood? Sorry! And thank you for helping me, I'm still new to building websites and feeling a bit confused.
2. What do you mean by the size of the images need to stay the same along with the name of the image file - the same as what?
2. I replaced "on-site" with "Direct-Debit" and "onsite" with "Direct Debit" in the js section like you said - I hit save, but nothing has changed on my site. I cleared my cache, but still no luck changing 'on site' to 'direct debit'.
Below is the screenshot after I replaced 'onsite' with 'direct debit', there was 34 changes which I saved and I think 2 x 'on-site' to 'Direct-Debit' changes (you can see above that the file was edited today at the time I made the changes so it definitely saved)
What am I doing wrong? Are you able to tell me at all how far away the actual upgrade will be happening so that people will have the functionality to change 'on site' to any other method of payment? Help :'(

Thanks Milos. One more question - you know how there is the option to pay "on-site"?
My client does not take on site payments, but does have a an external way to set up direct debit payments with customers.
Can I change the "on-site" payment label to "set up direct debit"? He doesn't want people to think he accepts cash on site because he doesn't.
Thank you
Hi Milos,
I tried to follow your instructions but I didnt understand. Is there a way we could get on a call together to do this? I didnt understand where to find these locations and I dont know what you mean by edit the file.
/wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/public/img/payments/icons/
and /wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/public/img/payments/ folders.
ameliabooking/public/js/chunks/ folder
Hi, Katrina
Sorry about the delayed response.
Our support does not cover full tutorials on all of the details, but we like to do extra effort to try and guide you in the right direction.
We are currently not able to do calls, the only support method is through our ticketing system here.
-
For example, the location of the images; here is an example path from my local testing site;
it is on my computer, so disregard the path that says "wamp64/www/current", that is going to be the path of your FTP server of your site;
( here is a tutorial explaining what is FTP, and this one on how to upload files on it)
You have to access your FTP;
and there you will find this path :
../wp-content/plugins/ameliabooking/public/img/payments/icons:
These SVG files represent the payment icons on Amelia, you can upload different SVG images, to change them.
But follow the other details/steps as i explained in previous replies, please, i am just kind of, writing the short version here, to explain the path.
-
This is the other path referenced, in the "payments folder", i gave you an example what it looks like if you open an "OnSite.svg" file.
-
Now, you need to find this JavaScript (JS) file, and open it with any text/code editor,
and type in CTRL+F to find , for example "on-site" :
Then you can change, "On-Site", as explained before, to anything you need , such as 'set up direct debit'.
Save the file, and it will be reflected in Amelia.
-
And after each update, you would have to do this again, until we add this customization feature as part of the plugin.
( But this is just a quick version, please check other steps as previously explained)
I hope that was clearly explained. Let me know how it goes. Thanks.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

Hi Milos,
When you say I need to do this after every update - do you mean everytime the plug in updates, I need to manually update this?
If I understood correctly, I will just disable the auto updates so that I know when to do this.
Please kindly confirm

Hi, Katrina
My apologies for the waiting time.
For the "same size", i should have explained this better, sorry about that.
I wanted to say that the image has to be the same dimensions, but the size of the file is not relevant.
Let me know how it goes.
Unfortunately, since this is a custom workaround, we do our best to advise, but it can be sometimes tricky "easier said than done" , as they say...
-
It is the right place where you did the changes. Try to check if images are same dimensions,
and also purge all cache of the site and server, to apply changes. Let me know if that worked.
Thank you.
Regarding the ETA for the built in option for this, unfortunately i can't say when it will be implemented.
I will do my best to push it on the priority list as much as possible.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
