This are the shortcodes that you can use for displaying the events
[ameliaevents] or [ameliaevents type=list] if you want to show a list of all your events,
[ameliaevents tag='name'] if you want to show just the events that belong to the same tag defined during the creation of events, where “name” will be replaced with the tag name,
[ameliaevents event=1] if you want to show only the event with ID 1 without its recurring events,
[ameliaevents event=1 recurring=1] if you want to show the event with ID 1 with all his recurring events.
[ameliaevents type=calendar] if you want to show events in a calendar view.
The system is very good, but there seems to be something missing which is stopping me being able to do what I need to do.
My client has bootcamps, one a day. I want a page that lists the bootcamps then under each bootcamp gives a form to book that bootcamp only. However, the two possibilities are: 1) Show just the first event created (which will quickly be in the past so no longer relevant) 2) View every single recurring event, which as I’ve set them for many years in the future, is a list of hundreds of events
Neither of these are at all useful.
What needs to be shown is the next upcoming events of the recurring event with a limited number. There is no need for anyone to want to book anything years in advance and it’s totally confusing for the user.
Being a programmer myself, there needs to be an extra option on this shortcode:
[ameliaevents event=1 recurring=1]
such as
[ameliaevents event=1 recurring=1 shownext=3]
###span class="" >span class=""###
I could write this into the plugin but that’s not the way to do it in WP as you will know as it will get overwritten.
I hope you will be able to add this. Without it the event booking widget simply cannot do what I want it to do, and it’s a really good system.
Hi Guys,
I'm just setting up Amelia for my client and have a question.
I want to show the next upcoming event for a recurring event only.
Will the shortcode [ameliaevents event=1] do this, or will it only show the very first one of the recurring events?
Best,
Ian

Hello Ian,
Currently, there is no such feature built-in.
We have passed this on to our management and developers and these shortcodes will probably be added in the future.
If you have any more questions please feel free to open another ticket.
