I can see what you mean. I will check if we have any built-in functionalities with wpDataTable column types to create a solution that will make a user only select to upload a new file, rather than seeing the WP media library as well...

In the meantime, I have a workaround idea. For example, you could make a form that would allow users to upload the files,

for this example i will show the free integration we have with Forminator Forms, with an upload field. This field would only get users to upload from their side.

This is how my example Form looks on front page:

then you could install our free add-on wpDataTables integration for Forminator Forms,

and you can create a table linked to the form.

I uploaded a few images, and the table is presenting them.

I will double-check with our 2nd Level Team if we have other methods of doing this without integration to a Form plugin,

but let me know how this sounds if it might serve the purpose to achieve your goal?
