Upgrading from 4.1 to 4.2 broke all my tables. None of them showed any data event in the admin wpDataTables settings pages. I luckily had a copy of 4.1 on my staging site and was able to downgrade.
Hi, Greg
Thank you for reporting this, we will urgently investigate and try to replicate the issues.
Can you please provide more details, if I understood correctly, the settings area of the plugin was not showing anything once you updated,
or/and the tables did not show the table settings tabs?
-
if you'd like, you could grant us temporary Admin credentials so we can take a remote look at all the settings?
We will not change anything, and if you can make sure to mark response as "Private" , if you send us credentials, so that nobody can see them.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

The same thing is happening on other tables where the field is update_datetime and update_user. The word update is being stripped. I will wait for the next release before updating my live site.

Hi Greg,
Thank you for fast response,
That should be covered with new code that is sent in previous ticket. Did you use capital letters(for example is you column name UPDATE_DATETIME or UPDATE_USER) ?
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Isidora Markovic

Hi, Greg
Sorry about the delayed response, we worked on this in the meantime.
We've released an update 4.2.1 that should fix the issue. Can you please backup your site again, and try to update it to the latest version; purge all cache and let us know how it goes?
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
