Hi, I have successfully integrated google calendar into Amelia as per your instructions and the bookings get added to the google calendar. However the entry in google calendar only shows the date / time and service name, it does not show any of the details entered by the customer when they booked the activity. How can I automatically transfer / add the details of the booking like customer name, telephone number email address etc to the google calendar so that it shows the booking details when I click on the booking in google calendar?
You can edit the information of the Google Calendar event on the Amelia/Settings/Integrations/Google Calendar page where you can add the placeholders that you want from the Notifications page.
Hope this helps you.
Please reach out to us if you have any other questions.
Thanks for the quick reply. Based on your info / guidance, I have now found the section to add the placeholder information. One other question for you. I have three different offerings with different questions / fields of information collected from their booking. I don't suppose it's possible to display the appropriate information based on the offering the customer has selected? If this is possible then please let me know how to do this, as it looks like there is only one generic option for displaying the Google Calendar details.
Hi Uroš, the short answer is yes. There are three service offerings which have different custom fields in each offering. They all have the same basic info, like customer name, email address and phone number, but the rest are custom fields which vary depending on the offering that is selected. I have attached the different offerings which include the customer field questions so you can see what I use. There are 13 customer fileds across the three offerings You can also see the offerings on this weblink https://pngc.co.uk/trial-lessons/ What I am hoping for is that the custom fields for the appropriate offering is added to the google calendar. Currently I have only selected / added the basic info customer name, email address and phone number, as I only want to show the customer fields for the appropriate offering. I'm assuming what I am asking for is not possible as it does not seem to split the google booking into different offerings..
On another note, last year I asked about a booking ref number which I was told was not available. I noticed that there is a variable name in the integrations section and is called %appointment_id% but is not shows as an option in the notification section. I copied the %appointment_id% name into the notification section which I have included in the customer and employee notification and this works well, as I wanted the customer to have a booking reference number which the employee also receives.
For the purpose of displaying the custom field values in the Google event description, you could place all custom field placeholders in the description and only the ones that were entered and connected to that service will be visible in the Google Calendar event description.
We will work on implementing a better solution but at the moment, that is the only workaround.
I have checked the list of placeholders on the notifications page and there is a %appointment_id% placeholder at the moment.
Hope this helps you.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.

Hello Siggi,
Thank you for providing us with an update.
By different questions/fields, are you referring to custom fields?
Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks Uroš. I can live with that for the time being.
