Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Thank you for providing us with the admin credentials.
I created an appointment, logged in from the customer panel, and successfully rescheduled the appointment. Can you please test this out from the Incognito mode and provide me with an update on whether it is working or not?
I notice something very strange. As you can see on the video I posted I have 3 appointments. But in the administration of Amelia, if I look at my customer account, I don't have one. (see attachment)
Another question. I usually use Brave as my bowser. If I m logged with my WP access and go to the my customer panel page I can directly access to the panel. Under Chrome I have a login form and my credentials doesn't work. Is Amelia use its own access ?
I also cannot find the appointments that are displayed in my customer area in the Amelia admin. On the other hand, I see your canceled appointment of March 25.
As we deleted the tests from Amelia's admin, could the problem come from there? There could be a bug with the update on the client side and therefore, if the appointment no longer exists but it is still displayed I could not delete it and therefore I would have the error message.
I tested it out where I booked an appointment from my account, canceled the appointment from the customer panel, and deleted the appointment from the back-end and the appointment was not visible in the customer panel any longer.
When you performed your tests, were you logged in as an admin user?
Unfortunately the problem still occur for me and some customers.
The tests were carried out as an administrator and with my customer test account.
As you can see in the screenshot, my client still had today a person who had unsubscribed from an event but who still appeared in the list of subscribers
"Hello, yes I couldn't show up I got sick 😔 I had canceled on the website, I hope you have been warned Looking forward to coming soon ☺️ Louane" (translation)
It's annoying because of this problem his room is not full and other customers cannot register when there is room.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
Thank you for providing us with an update.
I have passed this issue to our level 2 support team and we will provide you with an update as soon as we have one.
Unfortunately I am not convinced by your answer. As I mentioned in the first message, my client discovered the problem because of some complaints from her customers and, I just checked, they all have "Amelia Customer" roles.
Sorry for the delayed response I was working for other clients these days.
According to my client, it seems that the problem happens with all customers.
Yesterday she just called me back for a new complaint from one of her customers. She was unable to delete her reservation then call to my client to do it. When my client tried to delete the appointment by herself she got an incomplete confirmation email as if the appointment no longer existed but was still displayed (see screenshot).
My client is starting to get a little angry so I hope you find the problem so I can give her some answers.
Here is the list of the customers that are saved in the database as an admin, and those should be changed to a customer type as this can cause a conflict between permissions, but first these two customers need to be deleted from the Amelia/Customers page as they are also an admin user:
Please provide me with an update on this issue once this is done.
In regards to the customer still appearing on the attendant's page when they cancel, this is the default behavior as they will still appear but will have the red circle that indicates that their attendance has been canceled.
It's been a while since the last post I was engaged on other contracts.
Sorry, I don't understand the answer.
I don't understand 2 things: 1. Why as an administrator I don't automatically have all the rights as is the case with all the plugins with which I have worked so far.
2. I find my clients in the client section of Amélia and some of them are found in the list of clients in Wordpress. So logically either you use the wordpress system to create clients and give them an "Amelia client" role, but then ALL my clients should be there. Or do you use your own customer management but then I don't understand why some also become Wordpress users?
For the client [email protected] I don't understand what you mean either, she is not an administrator and I can't even find her in the Wordpress users of the site.
For the client [email protected] I don't understand what you mean either, she is not an administrator and I can't even find her among the site's Wordpress users. So as a customer I can't delete her account.
I deleted my account (ogan) and those of my client (elodie, the owner of the site) that we used to do tests and try to understand where the problems we have with Amélia come from (we also have problems with the time slots I talk about in another thread).
But to return to the initial question, why customers cannot delete their appointments, the problem is still present and concerns customers who are not in the list of addresses mentioned above.
This issue occurs when the appointment is booked as a customer while logged in as an admin, and then the user is stored in the database with the admin "Type" in the wp_amelia_users table, and that is why I suggested you delete those users to avoid conflict between different roles.
In regards to some of the Amelia Customers not being present as a WordPress user with the Amelia Customer role, it could be because the "Automatically create Amelia Customer user" option was not enabled on the Amelia/Settings/Roles settings/Customers page.
In regards to customers not being able to delete their appointments, are you referring to them not being able to cancel or delete appointments?
As mentioned in the first post the customers can't delete their appointments : " They have the following message : "You are not allowed to update booking status". By the way, I can't translate the message in Loco Translate".
They call my client and she delete the appointment by herself.
About the Settings/Roles, sorry if I insist but I still don't clearly understand why a user must be registered twice (as an Amélia client and as a Wordpress user) ... or not. What is this option for? Especially if it can create conflicts with other user rights such as admins (which should logically have all the rights, no ?).
Hi,
Customers encounter an error when trying to delete an appointment.
Change the date of the appointment work correctly.
They have the following message : "You are not allowed to update booking status".
By the way, I can't translate the message in Loco Translate.
As you can see on the screenshot of my Role Settings page everything is allowed for the customers.
Is there another setting to be made somewhere?
Thank you,
Christophe

Hello Uroš,
As mentioned rescheduling an appointment work correctly but deleting it doesn't work and return an error.
I already tried the inconito mode and tried also with another browser.

Hello Christophe,
We have performed further checks and the issue with this is that there are both customer and admin account connected to the same email.
Roles have their own capabilities and if you combine them, the plugin will run into a conflict it can't resolve (a paradox, so to speak).
That is why such an issue occurs with that account. Please delete the customer with that email and test it out with some other email.
Please let us know if the issue persists.
Kind Regards,
Uros Jovanovic
