How do I configure Amelia to create a zoom event that uses a password rather than waiting room?
Waiting room works for appointments, but for our public events, it will not work.
We host church services and managing waiting room admissions is distracting especially if someone drops a connection and needs to reconnect during out 2 hour events.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.

This has to be set up from the Zoom side.
The "Waiting room" setting has been enabled by default after a certain Update.
I just found a short video showing how to disable this in your Zoom Account settings. Can you take a look, please?
Also, in the Youtube comments, people say that, even after they disabled Waiting room, it does not apply to already scheduled meetings.
After this step, you have to recreate all the meetings in Zoom as new - and they should have Waiting room disabled - if that makes sense?
I did a bit of extra effort, because I was curious, to be honest, with the entire Zoom setup, so I discovered that they changed that "default Waiting room" behavior, at some point, not sure when.
If anything else happens that we might assist with, don't hesitate to create a new ticket.

Can you direct me to docs showing how to setup a zoom meeting that uses a password and not the waiting room? I'm not seeing and reference to this.

Thank you Miloš. The zoom defaults are working as expected.
Hi, ts
You're welcome.
