Hi I am hoping you can help me with a few question so I can properly set up my email notification for booked appointments.
1 Can you explain the difference in these shortcodes:
%appointment_price% %service_price%
2 When payment is accepted, I see this code %appointment_deposit_payment%, but is there a code for the full deposit amount taken so we can generate a receipt?
3 Is there a code that shows how the payment was taken? Something to say that payment needs to be paid in person, or payment was taken online with Stripe is necessary.
4. An overall page that lists all short codes and explains what they display would be helpful too.
1. The %service_price% placeholder displays the default price of the service set in the backend while the %appointment_price% shows how much the appointment costs when you account for the coupon discount or the number of people that the customer brings with them.
2. What is the current display of that shortcode in the notification, as it should display the total amount of deposit paid?
3. This will be implemented in one of the future updates as we have passed this issue to our developers as a suggestion but I cannot provide you with the ETA on when this will be implemented.
4. Please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page, and see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.
After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
In regard to item #2 Let me clarify. Does %appointment_deposit_payment% show the amount paid even if we don't accept deposits? Some of our services allow deposits and others do not. I just want to make sure the email doesn't say $0.00 deposit when the service was actually paid in full.
Same question for services that allow deposits but also allow customers to pay in full if they choose.
Which shortcode will show the amount paid, whether deposit or not.
AND, if they don't pay, but instead chose the option of pay on site, how can we show in the email it is to be paid on site and not deposit( or paid in full) paid already?
If there is no deposit that needs to be paid, nothing will be shown. If the deposit payment is enabled, there is no option to pay the full amount, as the rest of the payment will be paid on-site.
At the moment, there is no placeholder to display the payment method to the notification, but I have passed this as a suggestion to our team and hope this will be added soon.
Please reach out to us if you have any other questions.
I am sorry to correct you, but what you say is incorrect. There is a feature in Amelia that when you enable a deposit, you can also allow the person to pay in full if they choose. (see attached)
And also, it possible to have some services allow deposits and others to require payment in full.
So my question still stands
What shortcode to I use in the email to show how much was paid?
Apologies for the incorrect information I provided you with in the previous response.
Unfortunately, at the moment, there is no ammount_paid placeholder that you can add to the notification, but I have forwarded this to our team as a suggestion. Thank you very much for your suggestion.
