We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Plugin Causing Critical Error on Website

    I implemented the wpDataTable plugin on an intranet site and activated it. 

    "A PHP session was created by a session_start() function call. This interferes with REST API and loopback requests. The session should be closed by session_write_close() before making any HTTP requests."

    I took the following actions:

    • I upgraded the WordPress site to PHP version 8.0 
    • Disabled the plugin
    • Flushed Cache (Site Began delivering correctly again and the critical error went away.)
    • Activated the Plugin - (Critical error displayed)
    • Deactivated Plugin - (Critical Error resolved)
    • Downgraded PHP version to 7.4 - (Site Normal)
    • Activated the Plugin - (Critical error displayed)
    • Deactivated Plugin - (Critical Error resolved)
    • Upgraded PHP version to 8.0 - (Site Normal)
    • Activated Plugin - (Critical Error displayed)
    • Created backup of my site waiting for a response for a private ticket submitted.

    Please check out my response, and let me know if that helps or not. This ticket will be closed as a duplicate.

    For future reference, please don't open multiple tickets with the same topic, as it wastes your and our time trying to either find a response twice (if, for example, my colleague responded on another ticket already) or inform you that the ticket has been submitted more than once.

    We go through tickets in the order in which they are received and/or responded to, so creating multiple tickets will only increase our queue, it will not speed anything up. We try to be as fast as possible, so thank you for your patience!
