I implemented the wpDataTable plugin on an intranet site and activated it.
"A PHP session was created by a session_start() function call. This interferes with REST API and loopback requests. The session should be closed by session_write_close() before making any HTTP requests."
I took the following actions:
I upgraded the WordPress site to PHP version 8.0
Disabled the plugin
Flushed Cache (Site Began delivering correctly again and the critical error went away.)
Activated the Plugin - (Critical error displayed)
Deactivated Plugin - (Critical Error resolved)
Downgraded PHP version to 7.4 - (Site Normal)
Activated the Plugin - (Critical error displayed)
Deactivated Plugin - (Critical Error resolved)
Upgraded PHP version to 8.0 - (Site Normal)
Activated Plugin - (Critical Error displayed)
Created backup of my site waiting for a response for a private ticket submitted.
Please check out my response, and let me know if that helps or not. This ticket will be closed as a duplicate.
For future reference, please don't open multiple tickets with the same topic, as it wastes your and our time trying to either find a response twice (if, for example, my colleague responded on another ticket already) or inform you that the ticket has been submitted more than once.
We go through tickets in the order in which they are received and/or responded to, so creating multiple tickets will only increase our queue, it will not speed anything up. We try to be as fast as possible, so thank you for your patience!
