Hello, I am setting up customers in amelia. I have checked "automatically create users in wordpress". I alse checked "create new user" in the customer setup. I can see that a user has been created on the worpress side. The customer receives and email invitation to create a password and "sign in" however, when they go to sign in, they get an error message. (see screenshot). Please help!
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I booked a test appointment and I had not received any email, going through your configuration, the mail service set up is PHP Mail which is not recommended and you should consider changing the mail service setting to SMTP or Mailgun because the email that is sent with PHP Mail generally gets flagged as spam by mail servers and also can take some time to send. Check this link on how to configure SMTP or Mailgun.
Please reach out to us once you change the mail service so we can perform further checks.
Ok, i will look into fixing the email to SMTP. In the meantime, can you help with the original question, which is why do customers, when trying to sign in for the first time, get an error message that their account does not exist? I create their account in Amelia, which is set to automatically create a user in Wordpress. Wordpress sends the invite to 1. create a password, then 2. log in. When they try to log in, they get the error message (i included the screenshot earlier in the thread)
This issue is not related to Amelia. as I have experienced the same issue when a customer sent me an invite to log into their WordPress website, so you should reach out to the WordPress support team and please provide us with an update on what they said.
ok. Thank you. I discovered a work-around for that. I have another question. I'm not sure if I should open a different ticket or not. Basically we are using Amelia as a studio booking tool. We are a ceramic studio, and we have members who need to book independent (no teacher or employee) studio time. The studio accommodates 6 people max at a time. Studio slots are 3 hours long, however we would like members to choose which hours they want. Some may do 8-11 other 9-12 or 11-2. As long as there are no more than 6 in the studio at the same time. How do i achieve this? Right now the bookings are associated with an employee name "studio manager" offering the service named "Studio Time" with a 6 person capacity. The problem is the first person to book time sets the schedule. If that person books 9 am, then the next 5 people have to book 9am or the next available slot-12pm. How can we get it to allow any range of times? I tried adding a second employee with staggered working hours, but it still tries to fill up the first employee's time before making the other employee available. https://outlaw-arts.com/wp-admin/?wtlwp_token=fa75819ebe288ee9f1bd86bed6d83dc3d76dcd81e308e30748f64485249305c9e1650663fa369ea5f111343783897a832095ed1532c0646828317780247051a0
There is no such option at the moment, but we have a plan to add this in one of the future updates, but there is no ETA at the moment.
Please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page, and see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.
After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis.
Please reach out to us if you have any other questions.
Thank you. If there are 3 employees offering the same service who work the same working hours, is there a way to distribute sing-ups equally between 3 different employees? Right now it seems like Employees #2 and #3 are only bookable after employees #1 is full.
The employees are assigned with the random() function but we have a plan to add this feature in the future. where you would be able to add logic to the employee assignment, but there is no ETA at the moment.
Please reach out to us if you have any other questions.
