I have a wpdatatable created by data from a Forminator form. I want to know if it is possible to apply formulas to existing data i.e:
1) A user fills out a form telling me their weight and height
2) A wpdatatable is created
3) An additional column is created which apply the formula weight x height to find their BMI
Is it possible to apply formulas to raw data in this way? I currently export data to an excel spreadsheet where I can apply formulas and filter it back to the website however, it would be great if there is a way to add these formulas within the one table.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
- Yes, this can be done. I just made an example from your description; a real simple Forminator Form, that takes two input fields, for weight and height;
then made a table linked to the form; I made a couple of rows, and added a calculation column, called it BMI;
I failed to create an accurate formula for BMI, to be honest; because I struggled to convert different measuring values; watched something on Youtube, out of curiosity, but didn't get an accurate result, as you can see on my table ( first tried height as cm, then meters, but didn't really succeed)
- Nevertheless, what you described can be made, it just needs a person who knows how to properly calculate BMI with proper measuring units.
; here is the page with the form and table together:
- Just to note that, as you probably know, for the integration to work, you need to have all three installed and activated on WordPress: wpDataTables, the Forminator plugin, and the wpDataTables integration for Forminator Forms.

Here is a detailed documentation section about Formula calculated columns.
