I want to show a chart in the confirmation message of a Gravity Form. I need the chart to be filtered for just the data that was just entered, not all of the entries for that have been submitted for that form.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
- I have an idea how this might work, but to be honest, it is best to double-check with the developers tomorrow.
For example, one of our add-ons, Powerful Filters, has an option “Filters in a form”, the filter is rendered outside of the table; and if combined with another feature to hide the entire table before filters in a form are entered, called “Hide Table” – this option allows you to hide the table content before some selection is made in the filters. It is a great feature if, for example, you only want to show users data in the table that is based on an input of a particular filter, without showing the entire table.
And the charts have an option "follow table filtering" if the chart is on the same page with a table; but, if the chart could "hide with the table" and behave as we need it to...
- I am not sure if an exact solution like you need here, in combination with Gravity Forms, would work for that scenario, so we will check with the developers if that can be done, and I will come back to you as soon as they respond.
Again, sorry about the wait time, thank you for your patience.

Is this possible?
Hi, Matt Ling

Hello again, Matt.
- We've been advised by the developers. This can be done, it requires some level of a workaround.
- For example, you could create a table out of the Gravity Form ( The form must have at least one entry for the table to be properly created);
then set the display length to 1, so it shows only one row on the page;
and set sorting for the entry date column, to show the last entry ( date and time);
make a chart from that table, and enable "follow Table filtering".
Then you would place the table and chart in the confirmation message editor from within Gravity, and set CSS to hide the table.
This way, when a user fills the form, the page will reload and a chart will be shown with only the last entered entry in it.
- If something wasn't clear, or you need further assistance, contact us and we will keep advising the best we can.

This makes perfect sense, thanks so much!
Hi, Matt
- You're welcome.
As you can see, the devs gave a much more clear idea than my original one, but that's OK, what counts is that the advice is applicable.
- Let us know how it goes, hopefully, you will have no issues constructing this kind of solution for your project.
And if there is anything else we can assist with, don't hesitate to contact us further. Thanks.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović
