Hi, Can I search for multiple terms in a cell? For example, I have a cell containing the following text: “red green blue” If I search for “red blue” there is no results, just if I search for the words separately (“red”, “green”, “blue”) or if the words are in the order of the cell (“red green” or “green blue”). Can this be done to give a result when I search for words that are in the cell, but not in the order I make a search? Thanks
I have asked this in the wp forum and your colleague said that you will help me to implement this fuction, so here I am :)
2. If you have tables without server-side processing (linked to Excel, CSV, Google, etc), some custom logic has to be made. Unfortunately, we can't provide custom solutions as a part of our plugin support. We usually recommend WP Kraken for custom work, but we do not know their price.
As more customers request a feature, it gets pushed quicker on the list. We always strive to make our product better and deliver the most value to our end users, so we carefully review each suggestion.
I have just a few days of the money back guarantee (I bought the plugin on february 5th) and I saw you will have some days of and I wanted to be sure to resolve this before the 15 days pass from the purchase date, because if this search issue can not be resolved, I could not use the plugin and I would want a refund.
But I hope you will get a solution, I think this search feature would be useful for a lot of users.
Firstly, I would like to sincerely apologize for the delayed response as we have been experiencing an unusually high number of tickets. I am sorry that it has taken longer than usual to respond to your concern and your patience is highly appreciated.
- Aleksandar is on vacation, but we will advise you because the developers took a look at everything.
- Truly sorry to disappoint you, but they advised that, for this solution, a certain level of custom work is needed, which is beyond the limit of what our support covers.
Our developers are very busy at the moment, working on some priority tasks and fixing bugs and issues with our plugins, so they won't be having the time for this level of custom work in the near future.
We can recommend reaching out to someone who does custom solutions, such as WP Kraken, but we can't advise on their pricing.
- Again, we are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello István
Here's the workaround we were referring to when we sent you here from wordpress.org:
Depending on whether or not you're using the "server-side processing" for your tables, there are a couple of different solutions.
1. If you use server-side processing, you can edit a piece of the code in this file path :
"wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/source/class.wpdatatable.php"
Find this line
and overwrite it with this
2. If you have tables without server-side processing (linked to Excel, CSV, Google, etc), some custom logic has to be made. Unfortunately, we can't provide custom solutions as a part of our plugin support. We usually recommend WP Kraken for custom work, but we do not know their price.
You can also suggest this as a built-in feature on this link https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/feature-suggestion/, and our developers would place it on their "TO-DO" list.
As more customers request a feature, it gets pushed quicker on the list. We always strive to make our product better and deliver the most value to our end users, so we carefully review each suggestion.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hi, I have done that but it does not work, I do not get search results for the cells where 2 words are not near each other.
What could be the problem?
Thanks,
Istvan
Hi, could you help? Thanks
Hi again István
I have forwarded the ticket to one of our developers, as the solution I shared with you seems to be working only for Checkbox and Multiselect filters.
I'll get back to you as soon as I hear from him.

Ok, I hope it can be done, because this was a factor when I was deciding to buy your plugin.
Thanks,
István
