using the [ameliaevents type = 'list'] shortcode on a page, all future events are automatically shown.
I would need to show all events, even the past and closed or canceled ones, in chronological order with the most future event at the top and the oldest at the bottom.
There is a date picker on the top of the event list, which indicates the date from which the events will be shown. Amelia shows events where the latest events are on the bottom by default.
Please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page, and see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.
After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis.
Yes, I am aware of the presence of the date picker. What I would like to ask is if there is a javascript to implement on the page in order to change that date by default: not today's date but a past date of my choice, so as to always show past events as well.
There is no option to change the default date shown in the calendar above event list. You can try this script to display the events in the past as well as the ones in the future.
Please try to apply this script on the booking page:
Now only the last point is missing: is there an implementation to the script that reverses the order of the events and puts at the bottom the first event created (so the past one) and at the top the one more in the future?
In regards to the event order to be reversed, we have tried to implement a script but, unfortunately, that is currently not possible as there are limitations in terms of modifying the database order function due to the pagination.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
I'm a bit sorry because it seems normal to me that older events are always further down the page. Otherwise if a user wants to see upcoming events he has to scroll down too much. Do you think this is something you can fix in the future? In the meantime, thanks again for the support.
At the moment there are no plans to add this in the future.

Hello Uroš, thank you for your answer.

I have seen that there are several scripts that you have recommended to other users for other reasons (for example: https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ticket/2797405/).
Is there one that allows what I need?
Thanks!
Hello Jay,

Please try to apply this script on the booking page:
In this script, pastDays indicates the number of days in the past that will be displayed. You can set it to any number that suits you the most.
If you need help with adding custom JS to the page, please take a look at this article.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Uroš,
I applied the script and it works great! Thanks!
Now only the last point is missing: is there an implementation to the script that reverses the order of the events and puts at the bottom the first event created (so the past one) and at the top the one more in the future?
Thanks again!
Hello Jay,
Glad to hear that we managed to get that to work.
