I purchased Bookly Pro. I am not happy with it. Here is the scenario I would you to honestly tell me if your booking plugin does any or all of the things. My client is dog groomer We need a booking plugin that does the following:
Pricing for the services is based on breed not service, for example if you need bath and cut services and you have a beagle that will cost 55.00 dollars but if want the same service for an afghan hound it will cost you 95.00 dollars. so obviously we need the person to select breed first and then for the price field to update accordingly
Because of the nature of what we do we need to be able book multiple dogs at the same time, for example we can book 6 dogs in the morning and 6 dogs in the afternoon and during that time we can also book shorter services for other dogs who may just need to nail trimming.
We have addon services that can be booked with base services and we need the capacity for customers to do that.
We require deposits for our services to prevent people from booking and not showing up
We have terms of service people need to check before booking and we would like to show those at the start of the booking process. In our state you are required to certify that your dog is vaccinated and we want people to check that box before they book. we would also like to make the field with the questions about behavioral problems or health issues required for them to fill out before they book.
Finally we are using clover payments and we need to be able to integrate that through woo commerce.
I know this is a lengthly list but frankly bookly is nickel and diming me to death on addons even I have purchased the pro version. I wouldn't mind except I think I am going to end up several hundred dollars in and it still is not going to work so yes I am looking for an alternative.
Thank you for expressing interest in purchasing the Amelia plugin.
1. Unfortunately, there is no option to set dynamic prices that can vary based on the breed that the customer chooses. The only way would be to create different services that would be for different breeds and they would have different prices. This feature is planned to be added in the future but I cannot provide you with an ETA when that will be possible.
2. Appointments in Amelia work like this: You assign services to certain employees and define the duration of that service. Employees have their working hours and based on that, customers will be able to book an appointment for a certain service. For example, if 3 employees are assigned to a certain service and all three of the employees have an appointment booked for a 13h-15h time slot, no other customers would be able to book an appointment for that time slot. To read more about the services in Amelia, you can check the following article.
3. Amelia allows the creation of extras that are basically an addition to the service, for which you can set the duration and the price that would be added to the price of the service for which the customer has booked an appointment.
4. Amelia allows deposit payments to be added to the service or events. You can either set the fixed amount or the percentage of the price of the service. Please check the following screenshot.
5. For those purposes, you can use the custom fields in Amelia, which can be added to the services of your choice.
To add a link to Terms & Conditions, you can use "Checkbox" or "Radio" custom fields. In the custom field you need to add an anchor tag like this:
So this text appears as a hyperlink that opens a new tab (target="_blank") and takes the customers to your Terms & Conditions without them leaving the booking form. So the custom field on the back-end would look like this:
As you can see, we made this radio button a mandatory field, so no one can book an appointment without checking the "I agree" button. Aside from that, you can add any question you want and check the custom field as required.
6. Amelia is designed to work with WooCommerce, not its add-ons, so integration with this (or any other extension) is not confirmed, and we can't guarantee that it will work, but we leave space for clients to check in with them as well - because perhaps WooCommerce finds a way to overcome this for plugins like ours.
Hope this clarifies some things about the Amelia plugin.
