We often have customers who want to buy multiple appointment at a time and it`s not only a question about ease of use (no need to enter billing data every time), but also for legal purposes so they are in one order.
I use woocommerce integration.
But from my testing when one appointment is added to cart and I go back to make another appointment the previous one is deleted. I have set different woocommerce products for each service so that cant be the problem.
And when I add a non amelia product to cart it works. I can have infinity amount of products in the cart, including one amelia appointment.
Unfortunately, that is the default behavior of the Amelia plugin as you cannot transfer more than one event or appointment to the WooCommerce cart. This feature is currently developed but I cannot provide you with the exact ETA of when this feature will be implemented.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
Unfortunately, there is currently no workaround for this as it would require advanced modification of the logic of the appointment booking. It is currently being developed by our developers and it will be added to the update as soon as it is developed.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
do you know the approximate time? Q1? Q2? Because currently our site is being developed and might not be that big of a deal if it`s implemented before the launch.
I would lie to you if I told you the approximate time when this feature will be implemented as there are plenty of features that are suggested and requested by customers daily and our developers have a lot of work to do to implement all of the requested features which are being developed on priority based on how many customers have suggested such features.
Thank you for your understanding.
We are here to help if you have any other questions regarding the plugin.
We have removed this option from WooCommerce to eliminate the possibility of possible appointment or employee overlap or appointment booking at the same time.
This feature will be worked on and developed and implemented once it is properly integrated with Amelia.
Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions.
In my case we have all appointments set to pending after booking and appointments are more like an "approximation" or "desired time and place" so overbooking or employ overlap is not a problem for us, because we check each appointment individually and make the changes if needed.
While waiting for this feature to be implemented, maybe you could tell me what is the best way to make this change in the plugin, because from what I read a "child plugin" doesn`t really exist like a "child theme" and if I just modify the core files the changes will be lost after an update.
If you have already commented out the lines that remove the products from the cart, you can test it out and see if it works fine. Our developers will add the option in the back-end where it would be available to toggle between the option to delete all the products from the cart once the one from Amelia has been added or to freely add the new product from Amelia and add it to a non-empty cart.
Please provide us with an update if it is working fine from your end.
I have commented the lines out and tested. It worked fine from what I saw - order could be made and everything showed up correctly in woocommerce and amelia calendar.
Are your developers planning to introduce that in the next update?

Are there any workarounds in the meantime? Because currently I just can`t use amelia, because most of our orders have multiple bookings.

Okay, understood. Hope that happens soon :)
It just looks like a weird behaviour that multiple bookings can`t be added to cart when they are two different woocommerce products.
Because if needed, I could create a different woocommerce product for each service, but looks like that doesn`t change anything
Hello Lenny,
I hope so as well.

It should be in the next update, but there is no date yet for the next update so I hope it keeps on working properly from your end until then.
