Hi, I am using gravity forms and WP master detail plugins. I have the form working correctly, and it shows an image in the table after I submit. However, if I edit the content at ALL (even something small), the image will no longer show on the table. I tried re-uploading the image when I edit and that still does not work.
- We have recognized this as a bug some time ago; currently, it is a setback with the Gravity Forms integration.
Gravity Forms' team is not very keen to work with us on this issue, so we're at a standstill for the past couple of years with this.
Our developers tried to tackle the problem from our end quite a few times, but unfortunately, without their help, I don't believe we'll be able to fix the deletion of uploaded files in Gravity Forms-based tables.
This task is still on our list of upcoming bug fixes, and I do hope we'll be able to resolve it soon, although I can't promise anything.
There is one user, who found somewhat of a workaround, here is what he said :
"I previously found a solution for single file upload using a nifty php snippet to reroute the file to a specific location and then a Gravity Wiz Perk Populate Anything to place a link to that location in another field and present that as a button in the table. That button on subsequent edit never gets deleted. That is all working fine. Now I'm trying to increase the functionality to allow edits to add addendum docs. Potentially the Gravity Wiz Perk Nested Forms + the same php snippet & Populate Anything can provide a solution for adding these multiple files. I'm experimenting with this. Its tricky as you have a Nested Forms modal on top of the WPDT front end edit modal that requires some fiddling with the z-indexes. If I find a solution, I will let you know as other may find it useful.
