Hello - I have the product working fine by creating a new table within the database of the WordPress site --- however, I don't want it as part of the same database - I had created a separate database, just for this on the same WordPress installation ... but could not get the syntax to work from within WP Data Tables to access to other database. Can you tell me what I am missing?
SELECT * FROM pop_report WHERE 1
This syntax assumes the same database as the website apparently.
*pop_report is the Table name --- but how do I point to the other database name?
Thank you for your help!

Hello Margo
Thank you for your purchase.
You first need to add this new database in wpDataTables Settings/Separate DB Connection.
Once you enter the parameters, and the database name, once you're creating a new table, you can choose the database connection in the dropdown menu above the table creation options:
I hope that helps
Kind Regards,
