My client runs a wide variety of workshops and some of them are affiliated with other organisations.
Is there any way to create an event that is still shown on the site but isn't bookable that will contain a link to book the event on an external site or that will redirect to an external site to book?

Thank you for reaching out to us.
You could create a custom field with the information where the link leads and also add the link to redirect to an external website. After that, the final confirm button needs to be hidden to finish up the process that you want.
If you want to hide the above-mentioned button, you could use the following CSS code:
.am-event-booking #am-confirm-booking .el-button{display:none;
}
