We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi, my webpage is made for teachers and students (employees and customers), but some times my teachers could pay for classes from other asignatures (act as a customer) or viceversa some students could be teachers (act as employees). is it posible?
What i already tryed was asign the employee role to a student, and then i create the employee in amelia but at the option "wordpress user" doesn´t appear the the customer with his new role of employee, so the unique option is create a new user, but it is not posible because the email already exist.
Thanks
Hello andres
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Your employees can book appointments with other employees with the employee's email address, but in that case, the new customer will not be created.
So it is possible for employee to book an appointment, but he/she wouldn't be added as a customer in Amelia/Customers.
If you have any more issues or questions feel free to ask, we will gladly help.
ok, but the question was in both ways, so let me clarify some facts
1. Employee as a customer
* An employee books a service with his employee´s mail, but this person won´t have a customer role so he never could cancel or reschedule his service by his own because he never won´t have access to the customer panel
* The last fact is true even if i use a role editor plugin to give this user a second role, because i did it, but when i go to Amelia->Clients-> create a client-> wordpress user don´t recognize this employee with his new role. (is it true or is just an error or i´m doing something wrong)
* Acording to the above facts. is almost mandatory that if a employee want´s to be a customer he must use another account an use another mail.
2. Customer as a employe: ypu didn´t answer this case but i tryed and i have some other facts so you can tel me if i´m wrong.
* I added to a customer the employee role with the same plugin named before, then i go to Amelia->Employee-> create a employee-> wordpress user don´t recognize this customee, so it is mandatory that if a customer wants to be employee he must create another account with another email.
if all of this is true, i suggest to make this change becase this cases could happen, for example at my page customers are students and employees are teacher, so a student maybe could want to offer his knowledge about something as a teacher in the same platform but he won´t be able if don´t open another account.
Hello Andres
We do not recommend adding multiple user roles of Amelia to a single user (Amelia Manager and Amelia Employee, for example). Roles have their own capabilities and if you combine them, the plugin will run into a conflict it can't resolve (a paradox, so to speak).
So the best way here could be creating another account for employee/customer.
Please feel free to search through our feature suggestion page, and see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and it will be forwarded to our management for review.
After it's been reviewed it will be presented on the front page, for voting. Please note that it may take some time before your suggestion is brought up for voting since we receive quite a lot of suggestions on daily basis.
Best Regards.
ok, thank you Elena
You're welcome, Andres.
If you have any further questions or issues, please feel free to open a new ticket, and we'll gladly help.
